the way you measure account growth is right. you shd not measure it against weekly balance but against original capital..
we are here to make money from the initial capital, not measure growth against a bad week...
That's how I've been thinking about it, but I'm not convinced it's the "correct" way to reflect the account growth (or lack thereof). My reason for saying this is that in a year from now when my account is 10 times my initial deposit (oh, it will happen ) then comparing my account growth against my initial balance is flawed.

Hmmm...I think I'll stick to my week to week scenario, just specifying that my balance is up/down X% from the starting week's balance.

Anyone else wanna run through how they handle this?

The Trailing stops are stepped, and usually set at 40 pips for most pairs.

ok.. i think we agree to disagree there.. when we invest in property, we measure growth against original capital and not against last month's house value.. same with stock market..
