some one draw the higher time frames direction before i proceed today.
complete it with d1 and h4 engulfs.

my htf mapping for gold.
sometimes for example there are 2 bearish engulfs around the same level, i draw the one nearer cmp or the more recent one, as i want to keep my charts clean.

looks like ranging for the time being. there may be no trade set up. in that case i am also looking at US indices.
now it is a matter of just aligning the ltf in the direction of htf for trade entry.
for higher possibility trade, wait for market open. all depends on your experience.

i have the notion that gold price is gravitating to h4 eg buy for frankfurt/london open.
if that is so, then do a counter trend scalp for those experienced traders towards that direction.
