crazy stuff... it's flying

I guess market have just decided to tease all the traders. According to fundamentals it should go down, am I right? But as we can see it moves upwards. It's quite messy

Every pair is crazy when you look closely but this is very weird i must say.

I have absolutely no idea why everyone is shorting the $ atm...

Anyone has an input on this ?

It's even loosing value versus the Yen !!! (yen is loosing value versus all other pairs)

Well I'm certainly no expert on fundamentals, but I think that typically a lack of reaction to a fundamental piece of news indicates that the news was expected, or in other words, the price already accounts for what was expected. Even if the 'expected' price was lower/higher than the actual, if everyone already expected it then price already 'contains' that information. Maybe?

Also, maybe it's got something to do with last month's NFP number being a good bit higher than this one's. Who knows, that's why I'm not a fundamentals trader, and especially not a news trader! NFP can be the #1 payday for a news trader in a month--sorry for those folks right now! They'd be lucky if they made 20 pips in that trade after spreads.

I like this explanation yet if the price is accepted before hand, why the pair would move so much after the release of the figures ?

€$ has moved 70 pips from the bottom of the spike which is the daily average but in ONE hour only...
This is how big bank make easy money, by taking opposite position then the traders expect pushing the price by more than 150 pips until all our accounts are cleaned out.

This is latest FX news swirling around the EUR/USD trades,
The US dollar rises against low-yielding currencies such as yen. US has shown high development in employment sector adding 132,000 jobs in June. The labour market has got stronger and this is really going to help US economy...

At 1345, shortly after the data's release, the pound had dipped to 2.0065 usd from around 2.0100 usd, while the euro spiked lower before recovering to 1.3574 usd, from around 1.3600 usd just before. The yen weakened further to 123.45 to the dollar from 123.20 just before the data.

What say??

EU needs to break 3650 area to continue it's upward trend

UK clearer on the bid side.

Ive gone short at 1.3650, stop loss just above the last previous high on 5th July. I believe Euro has risen to fast and we will see a move down.

USD/CHF also showing early signs of reversing direction.
If you look at the daily we are seeing a double top.

Even if I'm wrong and we break the 3650 region we are very likely to see a fib retracement from 3260 prior to another strong move north.

I won't sell against the trend but I believe we are headed down for the next few days.
