Price climb quickly but falling takes long time. It's clear that sentiment is bullish. Daily candle changed to reversal candle.

Reposting my H4 chart from yesterday..

As I said: It would be nice if bears can protect the circle rim... That way, soon price could come back to retest 1.0831 area and maybe also deeper lows... No rush though! Step by step!

I think this bull wave is related to high volume
option expiries
This usually has bear effect if big players don’t re-order and remove automatically

seems some players knew those high volume option expiries replace or even will execute

I think we will see a retest of the 1.077 region at some point. June 6th we have the refinancing rate of the EU. I expect that they will drop interest rates slightly. I don't mind holding short until then, these are amazing prices regardless.

Daily looks like an hammer in the formation. We may test the highs again next week Monday before a run down. lets see.

I would normally say that you are spot on. However price action hasn't matched the rate and volume of the buyers and sellers. That's the number one indicator of a divergence forming, whether it shows on trading platforms or not. The market was largely overbought this week in conditions that weren't met in order for that to happen. It will only be a matter of time and the market will shake itself out. Regardless, I'm ready for more upward movement, or the sharp decline that is looming.

EUR/USD pair witnessed a substantial advance this week, climbing from 1.0766 to a high of 1.0895. This bullish momentum can be attributed to the lackluster news that failed to bolster the US Dollar, resulting in the fifth consecutive weekly close in positive territory.

Looking forward, the pair is expected to consolidate before attempting a breakthrough above the key resistance zone at 1.0895-1.0900. A successful breach of this zone would open the door for a further rally towards the next significant levels at 1.0942 and 1.0960.

On the flip side, if the EUR/USD fails to surpass the resistance zone/s, a drop towards support levels below 1.0832 could ensue. Key levels to watch in this scenario would be 1.0800 or even lower - see my daily chart for more.

Weekly volatility (range) 78 pips

Option expiries for Monday: 1.0875 (EU885m), 1.0850 (EU859.2m) source: financialjuice.com

Monday D1 Outlook

  1. With current picture in mind, I am noticing that bears struggle to stop bulls and now bulls keep pushing towards the yellow resistance area.
  2. However, nothing for sure yet. A successful bullish breakout would still require a climb out from circle and also from ~1.0885/97 area roughly.
  3. For Monday, depending on market opening we first must watch 1.0871 area. As long as intraday candles open below it there will be selling pressure.
  4. For bears, the story gets serious once a drop below the red area happens. If bears can force price back below the broken trendline, even better.
  5. Long story short: For now, we are at a decision level where bulls keep trying. Let's see if they will succeed or not.

That’s a really tight range. By late Monday we might have an answer, unless it just starts consolidating.
