It struck me as odd at first until I understood the reasoning behind it. Barrier to enter is much lower, spreading the risk across smaller accounts is mentally easier. Not everyone is a seasoned trading ledge like yourself.

And if the 90/90/90 concept rings true, there’s a higher payoff (4K monthly per account) within the first 3 months. Potentially 80k per month for first three months.

for US traders , I fail to see why I would want to trade futures long term. that's the real issue. whereas fx you could accumulate capital and build up the balance, futures is short term and about withdrawing profits. that's why I think it's easier to just trade crypto. You can still average 9% on a swing trade, same as SOYBEAN oil but without having to worry about closing before FOMC and news events, etc. with 100k in crypto , you can easily make like 20k in a month without needing to follow these prop firm rules.

When people are discussing trading futures, they aren't trading Soybeans. They are trading indicies, Gold, CL. Intraday trading appeals to a lot of traders, if you cant understand why, then that's on you.

This is a prop firm thread discussing prop firms. You tend to throw around nonsensical things (remember your ETF discussion?) that has little to do with the present reality.

I don't think it's irrelevant. And "soybeans" are not soybean oil. Soybeans on average only move 4% per trade in my system so I used soybean oil as the example because they move more like a natural gas type commodity. How do you know what instruments are most popular with topstep or whatever? There are a lot of agricultural people, it's a big industry in the middle states.

I would say the opposite, you would know the obvious fact that soybeans oil is more like trading a zar and soybeans are more like trading the euro; Indices don't move that much in percent terms that why I don't trade them, it's not that I can't predict them. What's most obvious to me is that you have a problem with others' opinions if they don't 100% agree with you. the more people trade NQ, the more it will become just noise lol like the euro.

From a customer perspective, it's likely because 50k accounts have a 1:1 drawdown/profit ratio (or near enough) whereas the drawdown on the higher value accounts is closer to half the profit target.

From a firm perspective, it's a scam, because they get you on the authentication fee which tends to be the same irrespective of account size.
