I would tell you to wait until you have a 6 months to a year trading on Demo before you go live.

When I started I made money all the time with the simplest strategies until they went against me. With the buy on 30 and sell on 70 RSI strategies I passed one Demo. Then when I retired it I busted the other in one day.

With supply and demand strategies, same thing... I even went live with this and blew the account in a week.

I would say get comfortable with losing. Get comfortable with having a losing day. Because you will have many. Learn to control your emotions and not go revenge trading. That is the number one reason people blow accounts.

Record your progress on daily basis, review it weekly. Did you have a winning week? once that becomes common, then go live.

On a demo account you don't have any pressure of losing money, thus it can make you take more risks and trade profitable. On the other hand when you move to a live account your trades are much more conservative as the real money is in play, so those profits might not duplicate on a live account because of that.

While demo is good to test your edge's robustness and forward test specific strategies, it is not a preparation for real trading.
Psychology is a big part in trading, if not the biggest, and your demo account is dispensable as anything could be. Resetting it is just one click of a button, no emotional connection whatsoever.

Compare that to trading 5000 of your hard-earned money, it's a totally different ball game. When you have got your strategy you want to trade I would advice to start with a small real money account instead of continuing on demo. Use the smallest lot size and gradually increase as you grow your account. That way your brain also gets used to handling bigger and bigger risk.

Many new traders going from demo to real money fail not because their strategy doesn't work, but because they mess up their money management when being faced with risking real money. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt :-)
