Backtesting means nothing ?

Well if it didn't make money in the past, why would anyone consider forwardtesting to suddenly see if it would then be profitable.

I think your statement "best of the best" says something you are being coy about.

Did it really test out to have "only" 1 loser in 29 years.

Smells like curvefitting to me but then again you have not provided even the most elemental aspects of your "holy grail".

My advice with holy grails (we still need proof hehe)is that when you are always right why not trade a bigger position?! Just make sure you can afford mistakes with sound money management.

Yup, totally agree with you here.

Anyway, I'm not desperate to find some holy grail, because things are fine for me as they are now. All I wanted to know reading this thread is a technical description of the system. There have been more than 45 replies and all we know there was 1 losing trade in 20 or so years according to backtests, that's all... Doesn't sound to me we would ever see the technical outlines, too. In fact, it's more like signal service thread

It sure does appear that the author is being a bit coy in discussing any meat of this claim.

Maybe he can shed some light on the topic, other than just giving out signals.. Otherwise there is no point to this thread at all.

Hint hint.... I mean if you have found an inefficiency and do not want to disclose it, just say so. No reason to lead us around here. There is no quicker way to kill an inefficiency than to talk about it...

So what's the answer?

Could we assume that since the system has not been disclosed yet that the author is using this thread to get future clients to purchase this system or signal service?

I wish everyone here success but I don't understand someone starting a thread like this and not revealing the system.

First off, I never said I would close this thread. Please re read my post. Secondly, I would like to know more about what the author is talking about...

If he/she chooses not to disclose anything just come out up front and say so, those who would like to know need not look any further.

Aqib, my suggestion would be to open a journal thread and track your trading performance. If you keep this thread open, people will be all caught up and angry about the "holy grail" comments.
