MFF Update...
Having considered the matter, THE COURT FINDS that there is good cause to
extend the time for Defendants to answer, move or otherwise respond to the complaint from
November 22, 2023, to January 22, 2024. This extension will allow the Parties to address
pending disputes with the Court-appointed special master. Therefore, the Court GRANTS the
parties’ joint request.
Accordingly, Defendants shall answer, move or otherwise respond to the Complaint no
later than January 22, 2024. IT IS SO ORDERED.
MFF is also asking court to force the CFTC to pay 50% of the receiver's 266K fee since they erroneously
flagged legit Canadian tax payments as justification to obtain the asset freeze order in the 1st place.
This thing looks more & more like it's going to trial with no CFTC settlement... in the meantime, by Jan it
will very likely be 5 straight months of web traffic contraction for most of the remaining props since MFF's
shutdown. The big question is... Will they be able to survive the historically slow holiday period with the
continued FUD cloud hanging over the entire FX prop space?
