trends don't have to align perfectly with drawn lines, they should flow imperfectly in one direction like a stream in a forest, some pullbacks are larger and wont align, others smaller...but the stream remains in the same direction.

Less is more. And this trading strategy is proof of this statement.
As beginners, we tend to focus much more on technical analysis and trying to find the perfect indicator, which basically will tell us the same as a naked chart - what is the trend?
Yes, exactly... All they will tell us is what is the current trend, and with a little knowledge and practice, we can do it by ourselves in the blink of an eye.
Drawing trendlines is not hard at all, and they work fro all the instruments. Keep it simple pals, trade the trend. Don’t hunt reversals, there is no indicator that will 100% guarantee that there is a change in the trend.
