The length of a wave can be measured from one bottom to the next, or one top to the next.
In cycle study length is measured in time. For example a wave that goes up for two years and then down for two years is spoken of as a four year wave.

The timing of a wave is the calendar time of a top or a bottom, as stated, for example, a wave might have a top in January 2024.

Cycle

A single wave is sometimes called a cycle, but the word cycle is more often used to refer to a succession of waves, each of about the same length.


The length of the cycle is the average length of the waves which make it up , For example, a 12-month cycle is one made up of waves that average 12-months long, even though the individual waves might be a mixture of 10, 11, 12 , 13 , or 14 months waves.

Trend

Trend is the underlying tendency of a series of figures. It changes its direction gradually, in contrast to the actual figures which jump up and down.

Trend is an imaginary line on the chart that goes more or less midway between the tops and the
bottom of the waves.

great charts again with the current CL strength I would consider it breaking to the upside

but I think you are right

I’ll take some off the table and re enter at the next dip, support, oversold H4

we can suspect it will go up otherwise it is an aborted Wave 3 and in average we have 5 waves for a move

look at the CMA 256 extension (black) down and at the CMA 128 (orange) extension UP.

This scenario is realistic.

But look at the Up trend Angle + 5°.

We will go up but slowly.

IF I was entered - after the dip

when CMA's cross PA in the Middle of a Swing it means that Price has already made its Top or its Low

looking at the last chart I suspect a Double Top hence I am bearish

you would have entered after the dip....so just above $78?

See it very clear

and a very patient setup

even better that it’s on the Daily

Hi parisboy

I am using Sine wave only for trading and i do not trade using sine wave until i have clear picture and opportunity. I am using the cross of CMA 16, 32, 64, 128. I have one question that can i use only 16,32 and 64 for cross ? If yes then what is difference between 4 CMA cross and 3 CMA cross?
