Although USDJPY price action on the H4 time frame is presently sideways within the 145.600/146.600 horizontal resistance zone (red), the recent technical pattern of USDJPY apparently showed a southward liquidity sweep below the 145.000 area. Should price action break above the 146.600, we may see further northward drive, which could target the 150.200/149.200 supply zone (purple) seen on the daily time frame.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

Happy new trading week dear JPY friends !

Finally, after so many months, an attack on the <147.0 action that started the 18xxpips correction of this oh so beautiful uptrend is a possibility this week !
Could mean it's top of ranging period, because of size and formation of the correction compared to said trend. Hence why my last buy stop is 147 and why I will no longer buy until momentum has regained satisfactory quality, that is, if it ever does before I exit my positions !
Also, this movement right here right now could be the resumption of the trend, and we know what kind of beast this one was and that it can still transform back into that steady hi-volatility monster !

So I sent some of my best taco's to the monster, trying to calm him down. Hoping that it will give us the time to properly prepare our trading plan

You may want to consider the 'noise' in the news that suggests Japan is looking at changing their interest rate policies. If that happens? It is a big IF but it would have a big one way impact.

I have always used 99% technical, but I do appreciate the heads up. Thanks a lot mate!

Thankfully, my longs are dispersed enough and are ready for any big surprises, just like last time, as my shares attest.

I will keep on updating them here, even though it feels like an empty thread most of the time (you just changed that feeling for today, which is nice)

**USD/JPY Technical Analysis: **

Currency Pair: USD/JPY
Current Price: 146.400

The USD/JPY pair is trading at 146.400 after a strong upward movement, it seems that buyers are not as interested as before. This shows on the Daily chart's RSI, The RSI is showing a clear divergence, which means things might change soon.

I believe that sellers might take control so I'm making a trade. I'm Shorting the pair at 146.400. To protect myself, I've set a Stop Loss at 147.000. If all goes well, my Take Profit is at 145.400. This means the Reward is potentially 100 pips, while the Risk is about 60 pips.

Remember, trading has risks, so it's important to be careful. I'm sharing this analysis to help make decisions, but it's always smart to keep an eye on the market in case things change.
