while backtesting, I realized that in your sl and tp info, there is no info on what the inital stop loss would be for entry btwn aqua and +10 for long.

someone please help me, i see this method is so good that i wan to try but the problem is i din see any blue,orange,yellow bars on my chart, it seem the stepchoppybar doesnt work.
i attached all 4 files from the post #1 into my MT4 interbankfx.
i only see stepRSI and ATR channels and stepMA(teal line) in the chart.
I dont know if someone has tried to backtest this strategy. I am done with backtesting 4 months, Jan 2004-April 2004. This strategy has been performing negatively in all four months. At the end of April - -20% drawdown. I actually didnt consider the trades where SL was too close to entry. Because as mentioned by teamaphid and others, its most likely gonna stop out. and thats true, they all did stop out for loss. I will still continue the backtesting untill the end of 2004 but this worries me a bit. attached are the backtest results.
Did you go beyond post #1 and see updated indicators, etc.?

thanks alot, i sorted it out already, now i can see coloured bars.
BTW does the bar repaint itself? when the bar open, does it keep painting itself with different colour until it finally close after 4 hours? and also does bars that have closed, will it repaint if u close and restart MT4?
BTW i backtested it from GJ Jan 2007 to May 2007, all months are profitable with Jan 2007 earning 1900 pips that month alone.

what rules did u use? there are like 3-4 different entry and exit rules. did u use
1 - original pabloski rules?
2 - team aphid version 1 using repainting indicator?
3 -team aphid version 2?
I used team pahid version 2 but for entry rules I use joshdance's simple rules.
DID YOU use original rules with the repainting indiactor? if you did, then read the whole thread. I dont think those backtests are reliable. I just finished 2 more months...and I am coming up negative for ALL SIX MONTHS!!! at about 30% drawdown at the end of six months! if somebody would like to recheck it please! I want to believe in this system but the results speak otherwise.
its done using joshdance entry rules, and teamaphid exit rules, alpari datafeed, January 2004-June 2004.

Please go back and read through the whole thread. You'll find answers about repainting. It's only 20-something pages, you can read that and find these things out in an hour.
Ok acutally, I will do it with your entry rules. I used your exit rules but josh' entry rules as you had mentioned there is not that much diff in performance. I will email you results in a week or so. I will not take trades that were very close to stop loss and just put a note with a date and time of the candle.
When I tried to compile TrendPower.mq4 I got a message “semicolon unexpected”. The problem is that I can’t delete the semicolon, because MetaEditor generates a message “Access is denied”. How do you guys deal with “Access is denied” ? Thanks a lot ! scardi

Sorry guys, I found out the reason.It has to do with indicator's folder attributes.
I wrote an indicator called ToR 1.02 that will help with pabloski or any other trading system. It uses ADX on multiple timeframes to let you know if you are in a ranging or trending market.
