The MARKET LIQUIDITY is the colored sphere next to the session (e.g. London). Putting a cursor over the sphere will tell you the supposed level of liquidity of the session at that time. Click on the session and it tells you whether or not the session is currently open and how long until it opens or closes. I wonder if the "liquidity" is just based on normally active market times? Anyway, let me know if you can't find it.

I would like to pose this question. I have heard so many times in this forum of
the dangers of using an EA live and then all of a sudden your account is blown out. How in heavens name does that happen. Can someone give me a
logical answer as to why? If an EA can give you profit for days, weeks or months at a time, how can it all of a sudden go beserk on you????? Is there some inherent self-destruct feature that is lurking within?????
just trying to make a little on a lot.....

Im not good with words but here is my humble opinion:

EAs trade based in indicators coded in. Indicators(MAs, MACD, RSI, etc) are just mathematical representations of the market and that is where the BIG problem is. There are humans behind every market and humans move the markets. We are made of behaviors and behaviors are subject to inefficiencies, mistakes, emotions and a lot of things that I cannt imagine by myself. Does anyone in the world have ever created a perfect mathematical representation or equation of human behavior? By nature we are not predictable by any kind or mathematical representation or equation.

So dont waste your time looking for the holly EAs or indicators. What you need to do is to develop your trading psychology, learn how to read market behavior and/or look for any market inefficiencies, develop your edges and profit from your edges.

I've read about this some but wonder what strategies here on FF
work with this as a premise. I was just reading in "Tao of Trading"
how one pro traded based on market correlations calling this an example of market inefficiency. Is this what you mean?

Anyone (maybe Renasdad, too ) have a comment on this topic?

Kihl: I agree with you. However, these human forces are present right from the start. I don't think that answers the question why an EA goes wrong
weeks or months down the road all of a sudden. There has got to be more too it than that.

Think of it this way. How often has a person tried an EA for say, 10 years? Don't look at an EA for a short amount of time. Depending on the time or year, trading will change. Summer time, many people are on vacation. Less trading which makes price a bit more range bound. Winter time, people are couped up at home and watching their charts more often.

If a person comes up with a system and it works when they make trades and stick to entry on only signals and are profitable that way, they do it for years, why would that change anything. I have a feeling th when someone "creates" an EA, it is not created from a system that is totally traded off toatl indicator signals. Or, they haven't made an EA from a system that has been profitable for years.

Is it possible to create an EA that accounts for seasonal changes in market volatility? Maybe that is the answer......

i wan to ask if there is any reliable broker that offer pip spread as low as 1 pip for USD/CHf and USD.CAD?

also let say i got 30,000 account and i wan to play 100:1 leverage. i use 10,000 from my account so after leverage it will be 1000,000 then i need to trade over the phone? cannot use MT4 platform anymore? cos i heard ppl trading more than 1 mln need to do it over the phone or divide it into 2 parts? i am not clear in this.

If want seriously to make money in the market - then first
LEARN ALL U NEED, working just now with the small amount such as 100 dollars
on your account. Don't care who'll be yr broker. One point of spread is nothing...
To lose money you always will have time.
You do not imagine, what it is a risky business.

It is sad almost pathetic how many people asked me questions through PM or chatting and once they got their answers, they never talked to me again. It is like they were out for a handout. I know the right thing to do is be humble. Ignore it, let it go, that is how the world works. Ya know, enough with my being quiet. I always exceed in every job I do. I always have stood out in my superviror/boss's eyes. Forex is is a little differant, with forex, I will always sit on the sidelines because I don't have someone looking over my shoulder 10 hrs a day 5 days a week. When I started in forex 4 yrs ago, I asked questions. They might have been dumb questions in my eyes but everyone asks them. When I got the answers, I thanked whomever it was for giving me the answer. Sometimes more than once. Cause I know I asked the same questions more than onece at times. Why do people look for handouts? For the same reason they are in forex. They want to live the easy life. The people that want that are the people that won't make it in forex. I am not on here to get thank yous for the help. I am just making a statement. It is getting sickening when I only have maybe an hour of computer time a day and I spend 3/4 of it doing what I can to help people. Since I started this thread has anyone come back and told me how well they were doing. If I told them the wrong things, why am I still here? I must know what I am talking about. Or is it they just don't have the curtosity of saying anything to me? It gives me such joy to help another person out. I know what it is like to have no idea on how to trade and want answers. I am still fed up with it and am about to start charging people for my help

I'm one who has read your posts and learned a lot. Along with many people here's a big thank you for that. But you're not doing it for the thank yous are you?

I thought you were leading by example and setting a very good example at that.

You are really like an angel sent from above.I stopped attending forum sessions because all what was posted there was just too bogus for me too understand.I'm also a newbie and i'm having problems just like Vonokpash.I'm an intraday trader and i use the 5min graph.I don't really have a paticular pair I trade.I believe you wil be of great help.

I think everyone should say thanks when you help them. I don't know if you should expect people to get back to you and tell you how well they are doing or any other type of friendly banter by PM. They may view things like I do. I may be warped but I don't really believe most people who send me a PM about how good they are doing. I very seldom send anyone a follow up PM a month after the fact because I know how much time it takes me to read them if I receive them and then I feel obligated to acknowledge their latest PM.

I think helping others brings its own reward. When they say thanks it is like a bonus. It puts a smile on my face if I see them answer someones question in a thread here on FF a few months later.

Life is like that nowadays, I'm afraid. Too many take, few give back. But what goes around, comes around, as they say.
My little thread has nearly 5000 views as of today. Is that 100 guys who've re-read 50 times? Or 5000 ppl popping just once?
All I know is that I've only had a handful of thankful responses, for which I'm grateful. At least I know a few have found it of value.
I'll keep it going 'cos it helps me as much as them, and perhaps you should take the same approach.
This thread, and the time you've devoted to helping others, is a valuable donation to newcomers training. If your time constraints are too restrictive then close the thread, limit yourself to answering the odd newbie questions that pop up all over the forum and take life easy again.
No-one's going to hold it against you, especially anyone who's been down the same road as you.

and renasdad, don't join the darkside! Its a forum, people are looking to save time and get what they need... I think finding a few people who will stay and actually be active participants is difficult, because as everyone says the FOREX has a 90-95% drop out rate. If you are filtering mostly thru noobulons, then perhaps one could argue these people are fading away into non-forex related oblivion...dont let them change you!

Ren, I remember talking with you and the phone at length... a year and a half ago, about Metatrader.

People for the most part are appreciative, even when they forget to show it.. I think most people show their appreciation in "Paying it Forward", as you have done. All though I do recall your written thanks, made me feel good, but was not necessary.

Just be happy they do not actively attack you for helping. LOL

You should keep on helping if that is what you would like to do. It makes a difference in ripples in other's lives, in ways you cannot and will not ever know.

When you stick your neck out, your exposure is increased.

For better or for worse, that's what you have done to help others; and as a result, more people of varying levels of gratitude have responded to your generosity. Good for you! But the downside of doing that, are the "feelings" you have expressed in this post. May I suggest? Establish a few parameters of what you reasonably can and cannot do for others. If someone asks you for information readily available elsewhere, direct them to the source and/or explain how that person can 'help themselves' next time. When someone asks you to teach them 'how to trade' or perform some other involved mentoring function, offer to do so for a fee. That will seperate the grateful from the ingrates! There's a HUGE difference between providing simple direction to a question about trading and spending an inordinate amount of time trying to lead someone through the process of becoming a successful trader. IMO, the alternative to this suggestion is "crash and burn". Long-standing FF members would miss your presence; don't allow the attitude or behavior of others to dissuade you from spending a reasonable amount of time helping those who genuinely appreciate what you have to offer.

(PS......to all those who might consider asking me to mentor them, my current rate is $50 USD per hour.........lol!)
