There are many MA cross EAs on the net (you even get one included with MT4). Do you have a specific programming question about them?

Hi,
thanks for ur reply.

ok maybe the EA I want is not that simple. I dunno if it's possible but to enter the lot size based on the account size, say 1% and based on a rough estimate of the SL? and the SL for each trade is based on the difference between the, say close of the previous candle and the 200EMA which is one of the MA I am using

'I dunno if it's possible but to enter the lot size based on the account size, say 1%'

yes this is simple and there are EAs on the net which have this in. Maybe doing a Google/Yahoo search will find them.

'and based on a rough estimate of the SL?'

again this is easy too but what if the two calculations for the lot size are different?

'SL for each trade is based on the difference between the, say close of the previous candle and the 200EMA'

this is simple but I'd suggest using a parameter for the EA so that you can use a value different to 200 if you decide to in the future.

I sounds like you want an MA cross EA, which you can find on the net. The only difference is the money management side which means you want to calculate lot size and stop at trade time. I'm sure you can find examples of things like that on the net and build it into one of the free MA cross EAs. It is definitely not a complicated thing you are asking for. Good luck.

Very perceptive ha, yes new here but not new

Trailing stops are easy enough using the OrderModify function. You can look at the open and close of previous candles using the iOpen and iClose functions.

What you want is not so difficult and there are many moving average cross EAs on the net to use as a starting point. If your friend can program you should be fine.

my friend is so lazy to help me with the EA. ha anw i found a so called universal MA crossover on this website. but unfortunately the EA doesn't have the lot size that I want. and i have some difficulty over the immediate closing of a trade n opening in the opposite direction. it seems to auto skip a trade or sth, but probably due to setting, so still trying to fix that.

actually the EA allows both price per pip and lot size, which seems to be contradictory so a bit weird.
