Expecting a very good return from this trade.
You have to break out the learning move, you have to have an implementation mode to generate profit.
Some people learn and learn and learn year after year yet do not become profitable traders.

Trading US30 on NFP is playing with fire bro! Ha! Glad to hear you made money on Gold. I took an early position then closed before NFP but would have won but I hate trading news so just closed it.

I was just posting to ask if I can post Gold trades here using your system or is this thread only for GJ?

yes, I was looking for a sharp move in us30 but It chop a lot today.
In my early us30 trading experience tell me, sometimes trading us30 is very easy and sometimes trading it is very very difficult. today was a difficult day.
If anyone trades us30 he will face trading fx difficulties because of the volatility. It is much safer to trade fx than the index, in My opinion. when the market is slow we could use range trading in the fx pair but us30 range trading is also difficult anyway, I have to back off from us30, it is in a bear market anyway.

I have taken a few small positions in gold. make good pips

Gj up side Breakout was a false breakout. I move lower sharply. To trade side way market is better to use market structure.

I'll not hesitate to post trades other than GJ then, cos if I don't find higher TF bias in GJ, I'll not trade GJ for the entire day.
Eg, I LONG GBPCAD last Fri morning SG Time, closing out my 2 positions +ve before market closes.

On request, here's my thought process when I took this trade.
Pt #1, HTF on D1. Based on Wed & Thur candlestick closing bullish and MA Gold-cross, my bias is only to take LONG entry.
Pt #2, entry on M15. After the formation of 3 consecutive bullish candles and MA Gold-cross, I decide to take the leap of faith to take LONG position.
My SL is at previous Swing Low.

Nice one! D1 bias looks good and H4 + H1 looked VERY bullish. Only slight thing I would say is LN open often goes for liquidity before continuing the move so just something to keep in mind. So in this scenario we could have had a spike down before the rise. In this particular case you were right but just something I've seen a lot that might help you!
