In this situation, you can do anything, especially if your trend trader has a small stop loss. you have to stop trading when a few trades stop out.
once market start moving with certain directions you can trade again and make some easy money.

The market is smart, Just trading the trend is not good enough. After a trend, there is always a slow period when trend traders will lose their profit. That is why we have to specifically identify when we will not risk your money.
Trading ma is good especially when the market is moving, When the market is slow, we have to have written rules on how we wait and how we adjust ourselves to market change.

Indicators are tools we have to apply in the right place.

If we look at GJ this week we see after a 2-day trend last 3-day market is sideway and slow.

This is Babypips link. Read it if you are new to GMMA.
Our GMMA indicator is a little improved version. we also have RSI if RSI above 55 EMA sows Green.
If RSI is Below 45 GMMA shows READ EMA.
So it is a perfect tool for trend trading.

Interesting is that you can identify a Slow sideway market with GMMA too.
Practice practice and practice. Trading one pair with low leverage. you will get there quickly.

Questions: GMMA has 2 sets of MA one is short-term ma sats another is long-term sats of ma, why do I use one set of MA instead of 2 sets of ma?

Answer: GMMA has 2 sets of MA short-term and long-term. I use one set of ma because I love to trade the swing of the market. The fx market doesn't always have a big trend like the stock market.

Questions: some people use 3 or 4 sets of ma.

Answer: yes, I have seen their chart, I think it's foolishness to use 3 or 4 sets of MA. By changing TF we can easily see multiple levels of trend directions.
I focus on swing trading. rather than opening one trade and holding it for a long time.

Question: why do you use 6 and 21 ma sets? why not 10 and 34, 20 and 50 ema?

Answer: I found 6 and 21 EMA interesting my early trading test, I still use them if you think other sets of EMA are good for you you can use them. I can use a small stop that is why I use them.

Question: why MA, don't you know MA is a lagging indicator?

Answer: MA is a lagging indicator I know it. I am not as smart as you please go to other methods because they have the magic to predict the market tops and bottoms. I believe this method is profitable and I make it profitable for me. If you practice you will make this method profitable for you. observe the chart and trade. It is not EA that will make money for you automatically. Your judgment is required to trade this method.
