Rocky, can you show today trades, if any...ADX and MACD(could be only on my charts) never really lined up between hours of 08:00 - 11:00 EST

I traded. Took a couple of +2 tick profits then a 15 tick loss. First negative day in a long time, but no big deal. Tomorrow is another day.

First trade in the books, slow PA in few hour old uptrend. Maybe time for some sideways movement? The look for breakouts. We'll see.

Hi Rocky , glad if you reply to this thread , I see you are not trading this one , although adx > 25 the price is higher than the previous high and is a pretty strong bullish candle , can you explain more ?

Pretty simple I wasn't awake. I don't trade at that time ever. I trade NY market from about 9am to 12 noon, sometimes from a little earlier. If I traded European markets again it would be from about 1 hr prior to open till lunch hour.

Shouldn't, if you want to day trade best time is from 1hr. befor open til lunch time that 3-4 hour time frame is when you'll make most money(IMO). Day trading can be stressful enough for me 3-4 hours is enough, The ability to focus is finite for me, it is for most people.

I stick to 8:30 AM to 11:30. If I hit my goal for the day I'm done. If I'm at my desk and I see a trade set up before 8:30 I will take it if there is no Red news pending.

I think a lot of retail traders would do better for themselves if they only played the most liquid two or three hours the market offers. 2AM Eastern - 5 AM Eastern, 8/9 AM Eastern to 11:30/12 noon Eastern.

Hi Rockypoint...i also took the nice short on your chart that was around 826am your time and 1026 am my New York time. I also took the short signal before that which would have been around 8am your time, 10 am New York time because it looked to me to be a valid signal which broke below the range box. I took a loss on that trade. I was wondering how you decided to not take that 8am trade on your chart since it seemed to be a valid signal. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

After an uptrend lasting 4-5 hours I'm expecting consolidation, before a continuation of the trend or a reversal.

Carbon copy of yesterday in reverse. Slow PA 1 trade taken out for a small loss -5 ticks. I hate losing my first!! Jumped back in.
