Last few days there has been some periods of very fast PA even using 10 tick range bars. Still could of made money but was making me feel like I was chasing PA which I hate doing. After watching it happen again earlier in the 6-6:30 area I switched to 20 ticks bars and that did the trick. Wound up with a excellent day. I'm posting the 2 charts so you see what I mean, really could've of traded the 10 Ticks chart. But mentally was making me feel less confidence in what i was doing. {image} {image}

Rocky, your changing from renko/heiken ashi candles to range/heiken ashi and still being succesful shows how important the trader and his/her mindset is in the equation. That said, I do find the median renko/heiken ashi does help "smooth" out the price action and feeds the indicators just that little better. Possibly just my personal preference..

Stop is double my normal $100. But I normally get out quickly if trade doesn't go my way. Traded today, pretty unexpected NFP numbers waited about 15 mins. for things to settle down and picked off the end of the trend down. Trend may resume may not but I'm satified with what I got. My week is over. Traded 6b and 6N in addition to my usual 6E. I used 10 ticks bars today, after initial super fast moves for 10=13 mins. things calmed down a bit. PA now sideways while market digests numbers/

NFP is EURUSD morning for me usually, but not always.

First trade came within 2 pips (4 ticks) of my target, and gave almost all of it back. Next trade again came within 3 pips (6 ticks) of my target and then I gave almost all of that back. Third trade went my way for just a little then reversed hard for a loss of $104 (my max risk per contract on 6E is $125).

Fourth trade went to target and I'm done with the 6E for today with a net profit of 20.50 pips or 41 ticks. I started a little side project this morning to see many times I can lock in 20 pips on the 6E without losing 2X my initial risk before I do.

If you cannot explain it, it is discretionary, which means it is random.

Really enjoying this system, been using it on INDICES on the 1 Minute, and 1 Hour on Forex Pairs. I have a couple questions.

If we get an ADX cross and MACD isn't in agreeance, do we wait enter when MACD agrees, or do we wait for next setup? (assuming structure is fine)

If ADX Crosses, MACD agrees, and we break a support/resistance level but price has not broke outside of EMA bands, do we A)wait for price to break outside of ema bands and then enter ...B) take trade regardless ....C) wait for next setup

Sorry for silly questions, tried reading as much as possible but so many posts hard to sort through.

This is a quick position im in on ETH, does this look okay for entry criteria? break of resistance, adx cross, macd strongly agrees.

I trade system this way:

Long -Price close above the Ema
Adx crossing above 25 or bouncing up off of 25
MACD on Green
Preferrably I like trades breaking support/ resistance area or price struture, but not a must.

Short- Price below the Ema
Adx same as above
MACD on Red
Preferences same as above

Also important for day trading, trade makets from hour before open and trade only 3-4 hours.
I also mostly only trade 1 intrument the Euro futures contract 6/E. Though on occasion I'll add some others.

I don't know of anyone using 1 hour candles, so I'm interested to see how that goes.

Good luck and ask away questions always welcome.

Rocky, this short trend is getting "old" but ADX is bouncing(see image). If this occurred during your prefered window of trading, would you consider it "renewed" short trend at the bounce or would you be more apprehensive? Entry on the Close of the short candle below Low EMA.

Let me clarify that a little bit, if it's during prime market session for me NY so call it 8am - 10am I'd wait for break of ema. outside that time frame I don't trade except for rare occasions. What I am more likelt to do when trend is "old" is be more willing to take smaller wins.

Hello rockypoint,

It’s an interesting strategy.

I will try next days for scalping.

But I have some questions.

Candles are renko or ha?

The settings for the indicators are: Adx 6 (level 25) ema 8 (high and low) and macd 26,12,9?

And the most important. This settings are applied to real price or renko/ha values?

ADX 6(level 25)
MACD 12-26-9
Candles I'm using on TOS are Range/Heiken, on Ninjatrader7 I use Renko/Heiken
settings are applied to real price.

Some platforms don't let you use hybrid Range/Heiken or Renko/Heiken. So just use regular time based candles or heiken Ashii candles

I think someone posted a download for the Renko/Heiken candles but I'm not sure what post number it was.
