Well yes, or the world around me limits it. I need sleep. I need to pick up my son from school and teach him life. I want to fuck. I want to kick a bag. Hang out with my peeps. I want to read stuff. I need to cook food.
And sometimes some of that is more important then trading.
Also some of that supports good trading. Some of it may be detrimental to trading. Fucking instead of sleeping for instance...

Also, its pretty much London open that i trade.
Usually i can spot when the city of london people are heading home.
Some days they stay at work 3 hours longer.
Or its just that NY open are more active.
And then maybe i trade some more.
But usually its london open which is 8-18 CET
Lunch usually comes in at 12:00-13:30 CET some such when things cool off a bit.

oh yes, ive noticed this too, the evening moves from 7-8pm cet.

So given that you would want to make good use of our limited time on this earth as it would seem, trading after city of London folks go home is kind of a waste of time.

On a position i opened yesterday.
Cant concentrate on trading this week, my son has the week off from school.

Ive had a BAD time.
-8% or so.
You dont want to see that statement.
I knew it was sort of a bad idea to sell last week, i did it anyway.
Anyway... nevermind.

Some of this is predictable.
Some of it is partially predictable.
Some of it is not predictable.

Some people just take all the data and think its equally important, equally predictable.
Im quite sure thats a misstake.
Let me explain...

It was a good friday here, have a good weekend.

Since this new year began i have been thinking long term. Or should i say longer term. Also i have experienced that i can sleep better with open positions then i could a few years ago. Maybe its because im totally off coffeine and other stimulantia. Or maybe its just getting used to it.

Anyway, my long term analysis need to in line with every trade. That sort of axiom i have benefited from. I think. I determine that by looking at D1 and H4. And try to determine which type of behaviour seem to work out better then the other.

One way of putting that into exact terms is to find out during a specific time, how big the SL would have to be for every trade of a specific type (buy/sell) in order for all of those potential trades to get some meaningful profit, or at least multiple chances of finding out that its not working out to trade in that direction...

Thats a basic, added concept to how i already interpret PA. Or maybe its a natural progression of knowledge/skill. More on this probably tomorrow. And i will show what i mean in charts, like always.

It pains me that i often have to do trading decisions that are not based on Price Action.
Decisions like i have to go do something like sleep, or go fetch some people and what not.
I would prefer it that all my trading decisions where based on PA only.

A month since last post.
For good reason.
Here is the next thing and the process that led up to it.

And then...

Its a simple, real old school plan.
My mindset now is to make a specific plan and trade that.
Controary to making absolute rules for how to trade.
So its more like adapting to the current behaviour of the market.
And im not trying to trade every day or to try to take my profits intraday.
Its more like 2-3 weeks is how long im aiming for to keep the trades.
Though there is no reason to keep a looser 2-3 weeks.
If this trade is in the shitter tomorrow when i wake up i will close that fucker.
But im betting at least a 90% chance it will be OK when i wake up tomorrow.

The TP i keep like that so that if there is a strange event during the night i can capitalize on that.
But then tomorrow i will buy again if we are still above that H4 high that i showed you.
And probably by tomorrow if it has gone up during the night i will place another position and move the TP higher.
Oh and one other thing, this is a small position relative to the sum in the account.
Im thinking that if all goes well i will place 3 buy positions during this week.
