Those two closed while i was on a super boring meeting with some old ladies.
Nice to get home and look at some green pips.

As long as we stay above 1.0614 im looking for buys.
Probably i will have a look at buying tomorrow morning.
I am tempted to sell.

Some thoughts analysiswise.
The buy move of today was not SUPER dramatic considering how long the sell trend has been on, almost all february.
Also considering what has been going on since October, a pretty strong buy move.
Considering that a more dramatic buy move today would not have surprised me much.

And THATS why i had it in me for a quick sell.
And i think it worked out.

But now its time to start looking for buys.
But not if i consider price to drop in a very dramatic way.
Before i consider any nice place to buy i need to see the high of the current H1 candle become higher and the high of the H1 candle before it.
Why?
Well the psychological trading part is that its the first indication of people looking at H1 that price will CONTINUE its apparent buy move.
Also if that coincides with the current H4 candle to become higher then former H4 candle, that would be awesome.

Dont stay married to some candlesticks.

I harbor the idea to create a trade explorer.
Maybe it will keep me on my toes and make me focus to trade better.
When there is nowhere to hide and it all goes to whoever wants to see it.
Or it might make me a lot worse.
Im not sure.
I will think about it when i run 10+ kilometres in the sun.

I dont demand you understand any of this.
Its just some notes and such, stuff i ponder while trading.
And im not selling anything so if you dont like it, thats not my problem or concern.

1. Be vigilant always.
2. Pay attention all the time while trading. Especially when im in a trade already. There is no escape other then closing.
3. Be adaptable to what is going on. I always have a plan. But more often then not it dont exactly work out, and i need to prepare for that before i enter the trade.

And there is i cost to this and that is i get tired. And then i need rest and exercise. And food and such of course.
Right now this is important. Rules on how to and such, i got that already. Moneymanagement and such, its done.

I often plan a trade.
It goes into a small win and then gets into a bigger loss then the win it was in.
And then it goes back into the same small win.
And i close it.
And then if HAD I STILL BEEN IN THE TRADE, i would have incured a BIG loss.
So this is not a matter of having a TP and having a SL.
Its a matter of adapting to circumstance.

Also i have no problem having a 4 pip SL and and a 50 pip TP.
Its all about being correct enough, in the big picture.
Its not about being correct or wrong a set certain amount times, that just doesnt matter FOR THE MONEY.

Also the exact lot size is important per se but it is important how big is my drawdown as compared to how much i make a normal day.
Meaning if im risking 3 or 4 times as much as im making a normal day, im in a pretty shitty place...

I know from experience that if my DD during the whole day is less then i make a normal day then im doing good, raking in some profits along the way.
If i keep that up, everything is fine.

So lets say a normal day right now is about +0.7%.
So as long as my DD is no more then -0.7% im feeling lucky.
And experience proves it kind works.

Current hypothesis

Its been a while...
I have been travelling the country.
And when i got back i didnt do any good trades for a bit.
But now i got my mojo back.
And im ready to formulate a mathematical hypothesis of how to trade.
Or how i trade now, how i think about price.

I would like to call it "The price squeeze".
Its really apolitical.
Meaning it doesnt at all give a damn about "Being bullish" or "Being bearish".
That whole thing is nonsense to me.
I dont care one bit what im trading and i dont care one bit if its going up or down.
I could be trading cookies or copper or what ever...
Doesnt matter.
I happen to choose EUR/USD because im used to it.
Its in the back of my spine.

So the price squeeze hypothesis is when the highs are getting lower and the lows are getting higher.
Sometimes just either one of them is being squeezed, so the lows are the same and the highs get lower and lower.
And then at other times the highs are the same and the lows get higher and higher.
Either way, when price EXITS the squeeze, i enter in that direction.
This means price is either in a horizontal cone shape, when the both the highs are getting lower and the lows are getting higher.
Or its in a laying down triangle with the hypothenus slanting down or up.
Like this...


This may in deed seem almost dumb since its so simple.
And thats exactly the point...
Its dumb TO IGNORE.
Its to simple TO IGNORE.

I would like to understand it like its a combination and simplification of price action trading AND support and resistance trading.

There is no way of finding "Fake" breakouts or anything like that.
All breakouts are viable in this way.
So i just keep my finger on the trigger.

Im NOT saying this is easy.
Im NOT saying this is going to work out for everybody.
Im just stating that this is the hypothesis i keep in mind RIGHT NOW to keep me right on track.
Maybe someone will read this and get a EUREKA! moment.
Maybe not.
I dont know.

I frequently break my own rules.
So is almost meaningless to have have them.
Its more like i keep a loose idea in mind as i work my mojo.

But im not selling anything and im not getting paid to tell anyone how to trade.
There is enough of bullshitters and half retards to do that to last a lifetime and more.

Keep your stops tight.
Dont stay married to a sinking ship.
5 x 4 pip losses equals one 25 pip homerun.
Its better to chill and look for good confidence trade and a 70 pip.
Then stare at the fucking screen all day and go berzerk and end up -100.

In theory everybody can be a good trader.
Just like in theory everybody can work at NASA.
Just like in theory everybody can work at CIA (really?).
Just like in theory everybody can be a prime minister (now im stretching it...).

Meaning in practice you gotta give A LOT of benefit of the doubt to all that to make it work.
Meaning anybody COULD be wrong about pretty much anything.
Which in practice DOES NOT defeat all knowledge of everything.

So IN PRACTICE there are a very few people who can be profitable technical analysis traders for any meaningfull period of time.
Probably a lot more people can and ARE profitable insider trading dickheads then profitable TA traders...

If i told you i placed trades every day this week and i was profitable every day, what would your first question be?
Would it be "How much?"
Or would it be "How did you do it?".
One of those questions is the right one and one of those is the wrong one.
One of those is the million dollar question and the other one leads nowhere.
There is a third question that is kind of OK.
And that would be "How many pips?".
