I see, so your new "Price Action" system is not public. You are not referring to 4MA system.

Can you explain your price action system. I would like to test it out as many others would.

Sure .. I had a great day the last two days
but last week was not as good so I am still testing it

its not as simple as TEB.
But I am still using day, 4 hour & 30 mins
But once it is set you only trade on the 30 min chart
The chart below is from the day so you can see everything
But I use the 30 min. But on the 30 min you can not see everything

1. MAs 20SMA ( green), 200 EMA (red) for pip room & price possition
2. Channels - are for the day & 4 hour trend
purple is 4 hour
Blue is day -
I will put key S/R- mostly from the 4 hour
- took them off to be clear
3. vol. to see big moves mosty any news times- anything strang
4. Stoch on the 30 only - is still my trigger
5. or candles & candle formation for trigger

The channels keep me in the trend...
I ONLY ONLY ONLY trade with them
or a break of them

200 EMA I use to look for dips.
ie price is over 200 on the day & the 4 hour
but below on the 30 mins I am looking to trade.
the reverse is also true

its a break or bounce system

I want to get rid of the stoch all together in time - but its still my safty net

That is it

Hey TEB,

I look forward to more details on your new system; it looks interesting.

I have a question. What is the red indicator, sort of looks like a histogram, on your chart just above the stochastic?

By the way, your TEB MTTF stochastic system is working well for me. Not much going on today, but along with some other styles I trade I'm 10 for 10 this week so far. Thanks for all your help.

Is TEB MTTF Stoch System only 5,3,3 stoch on D1, H4 and M30?

Is this from the first post on the thread?

Still seems like you would
need MFT trend confirmation(eg. MTF MA confirmation) to get
10 for 10. What do you like for trend I.D. ,Richard?

Not that 100% is neccessary but, what the heck!

but we know that mtf stochs gives less trades. am i right abt this teb?

2 closed @ 25 & 30 for the good both on the cable
the others still on - no losers yet anyways
all an the cable, E/U & A/J
about 100 pips on all the open ones together-
but some are in the red

Hey FX Surfer

How you doin? As far as me and the trend, I'm just doing the TEB thing. Actually, I'm sort of new to trend trading. I know that sounds funny in FX, but mostly what I've been doing is trading off support and resistance. You know, playing extended ranges for bounces, Fib retracements, etc. Those were part of my trades this week. I'm comfortable trading like that and have been successful, but I get tired of watching a pair move 100 pips to get to my entry spot. Also, sometimes you wait pretty long for a proper set up. I decided to find a way to get some of the big move, so here I am, and so far, so good.

To identify the trend, I just 'follow the book' according to TEB, that is, look for the daily and 4 hour stochs to agree, then get in when the 30 minute crosses. The only other thing so far is on a day when no daily and 4 hours agree, I dial it down to 4 hour, 1 hour, and 15 minute and do a little scalping. Using the 50 ema helps a lot.

I'm still missing quite a few trades but I'm still getting more comfortable all the time. I only got one trade today (woke up late!) and got 13 pips on the G/U.

I also like to trade the news. I know most people tell you not to, but it can be done successfully. It takes a lot of preparation and a good broker. If you like playing video games, you'll be good at news trading.

Anyway, long answer but I'm just doing it as written. By the way, 10 for 10 isn't normal for me, or at least it hasn't been. I've lost 10 in a row before. I hope those days are gone!

-last week not so good - but I was putting the last pieces together
the last two days great!

Just got back in I had two trades close before I left 25 & 30
& had two more T/P for 27 & 30 when I was away
& have 12 trades still going up a big 29 pips ..
in fact most of the remaining trades I have on are red
but I have 2 open for over 30 pips each.

with the Teb it looks like the % of wins is higher
but fewer ins & you have to watch it more

& because I know I have the trend on the 4 & day channels
(stronger then Stochs 4 hour & day )
I am letting the S/L go a little more then with TEB
its worked out so far ... but we will have to see see
I am letting price run to the 4 hour channel if its not to far away
or the the 20SMA

Also I dropped the Stoch today...
seemed to do better the last two days with it?
May use it tomorrow

But I know TEB a lot better .. for sure
but in the end .... which makes more pips

Hello All,

Have been folllowing this thread and Spudfyres with keen interest....

you know ,i'm sure, the steps involved in learning to trade and i'm sure we are all at different stages.ME ,i still lose on a regular basis and i know the problem(s).

although i am still only at demo stage,i try to treat it as if it were real.so that i can deal with all the emotions and at the same time learn how and when i receive them, so that i can learn to deal with them.

Discipline and money manage ment are still issues for me but having studied and apllied many systems ,some my own ,some other peoples,i have until now not found anything that jumped of the page at me and said.....THIS IS THE ONE !!!!

Soooo!!! i at least can say that i have discovered a method that sits right in my head, which is where it must be comfortable....

And for that i can only offer my utmost thanks to both spud and teb for their generosity.i was leaning towards mtf for a while but was yet to find the approach....now i have.

For me these two method are highly complimentary and i would suggest to anyone reading this thread not to change a thing about these methods... just practice, practice ,practice.....it just doesn't get any simpler or make more sensethan this.

well thats the method down, now all i need is to control my own emotions and deal with the other two aspects...two years downs only four to go.

just a quick question... if you know the answer and yet do nothing about it ,what does that mean ?

the new system seems to be working
I had 15 trades on when I when to bed last night
3 cable trades closed T/Ps for - 50, 30, 27
I have 12 trades on - up 155 pips
only one loser - AJ for - 21pips

I thought I had- the ones I have - I am still working it out
1. trend - two channels going the same way
then look for a reason to get in= that way
2. entery- 30 min stoch &/or candle (candle formation) as triggers
3. exits - ? still working out that
just a target around 25-30 pips for some ( been doing this with cable)
may look for a turn on the 30 min or 4 hour stoch like the TEB
may just use S/R break on the 30 min (what I am doing with the E/U on)
4. stop loss 4 hour channel or stronge S/R

side line -is a break of the 4 hour channel I might go with this as well

likely--
but I find it a bit hard
diff time frames - diff pairs -- & diff systems!

I still like TEB to predict where price is likely going
but this one has a lot more in signs- & surer footing of trend
