Rather than control the visibility of objects, does anyone know how an MT4 program can change the Indicator *Visualization* timeframe buttons?

I'd really like to toggle the timeframe buttons for either the "All timeframes" choice, or to choose 1-or-more individual timeframes.

I was wondering the same thing a few months ago. I hope someone can clear us up.
Without a doubt, it would be helpful to be able to control the visibility of the indicators in different time frames.

Of most interest to me at the moment is to have the ability to have a sub-window indicator appear *conditionally*, based on how much room there is on the chart. When a chart is maximized, there's plenty of room, but when it's small, such as when part of a tiling arrangement of many charts, it might be 1/3 - 1/5 the height of full. One of my sub-window indicators completely dominates the smaller size, plus you can't really see enough of it to be useful.

So, I would like to detect the window size (specifically height) and when that height in pixels is below some threshold, stop displaying the sub-window indicator, but when it's larger, do display it. This can change real-time when a chart is manually resized.

I've pretty much got it working ok by using OnChartEvent to monitor the heights of the main window and of my indicator's sub-window.

When the sum of both goes above or below the threshold, I toggle between 1 & 2 :
1. To set a fixed size: IndicatorSetInteger(INDICATOR_HEIGHT,MaxChartY+Height+15);
2. To set it to be the minimum height such that it's mostly not visible: IndicatorSetInteger(INDICATOR_HEIGHT,7);
// 5 is apparently the absolute minimum, because from 0-4 still shows a substantial portion of the height even though minimized.

There are times that #1's fixed size is too constrained, so in order to make it manually adjustable height, I use: IndicatorSetInteger(INDICATOR_HEIGHT,NULL);

Even though you can't see it in the minimum height window, the indicator is still active so it does take up CPU, but no worse than it does on a larger chart.

I've also learned that one can NOT use: ChartHeightInPixelsSet(MaxChartY+Height+15,0,swin);
Once you take control this way, you cannot make it manually adjustable. Setting it to '0' height didn't work.
When I found the solution above that worked, I stopped further exploration of this command.

In this case I would just add a single On/Off button for indicator, which will delete all indicator's objects from the chart, or vice versa. In this case you can make OnCalculate() return 0 and your indicator will do nothing.

Why single On/Off button? Because any chart window can only be displayed on one tf at any time, you will always have this button in front of you on any tf and you won't need to open visualization tab in indicator properties, which takes many steps, every time you decide to use another tfs to display indicator.

This is very easy to accomplish.

Great tool you have here, are you able to sort the Fibs tool on this please?

It currently draws at the very latest price point, therefore If you scroll back to a specific time and try to use the fibs tool whilst back testing, it stretches all the way from clicking point to the live price? Can this be sorted to only display where the user clicks or the window space being viewed?

Great tool you have here, I have just explored it properly now.

Any chance you can modify it a little bit please? The template Indicator button is abit dangerous especially when you're half way through your analysis and accidently click it. Any way to hide some of the options? and improve the spacing between the buttons?

May I ask how did you manage to code that functionality of drawing with two clicks a trend line on the chart?
Can you help me?.
I am very new to the world of programming. I can barely code very simple things.

Is there a way to just place custom or predefined text only at any point on a chart, without drawing lines using the Drawing Toolbox indicator ?

I did see this indicator a while ago, but didn't realise you could edit the text & wingding symbols.

Hi

There is nothing like dangerous in it, The template is also not there its change background button and does the same there are 5 color options for that in input, it also changes candle and foreground color one time. But it doesn't do anything to your analysis, that remains there. I myself never faced such problems but if it was so some other guys would have also complained about that. You need to explore it properly.
If in case you still face the same problem or small button size problem, there are options in input like Button width, Button Height and Half Button height change it to 24,24 and 12 respectively or whatever suits you that will solve your spacing between buttons problem.

To those who are still using this indicator, there is a button to change background of chart(CB) if it really disturbs then let me know I will remove it in next upload.
And please don't message me to separate this and that functionality only from that indicator and make it available as I have been receiving messages like this every few days, I am not going to do that but if you have some meaningful suggestions I am open to that and if I like and it were in my capacity(Saying it again I am not a professional coder) I would try to make it.

Thanks mate - and accept my apologies, I have just tested this fully now and you are right the objects are not deleted, just the background color.

Following on from above, my suggestions below:-

- Able to select candle colour other than red green with CB option - This way we can get back to standard looking default template if the button is accidently clicked (or even better, simple an option to hide or show the button?)

- DRAW rectangle at the place of mouse click from user - rather than default left top corner and then drag and drop.

- Hide/Show option for watermark in the corner / Time stamp. They could interfere with other indicator buttons etc

- Since you have included a DESELECT button , it would be good to include SELECT ALL button too. This was can easily delete all objects

- option to change the colour of buttons (picture below) if possible - Would be good to chose one standard colour. I believe the others are auto coloured depending on the object colour chosen.

-Shortcut buttons for specific actions - for example "Scale Chart"

Looking forward to the new updated version whenever you release it.

Thank you for developing and keeping the tool in constant development. If possible, it would be great if the tool could also be used on MT5.
Hello everyone, Is anyone having trouble with this indicator Drawing Toolbox.ex4 ? i can't seem to get the objects drawn on one timeframe to show on the other timeframe..
I have tried to change the settings to "all timeframes" and all of the other options i just can't seem to get it to work.. im wondering if anyone else is having this problem?
