you don't follow Big E but you use parts of his stuffI follow Big E' trading journey and I learned EVERYTHING and I only use those parts of his journey which works for me ...
unlike someone who "follow TDI" and "follow Big E' advice" and suffer 5,000 RED ones

When you are overwhelmed (information overload) by the number of posts and the loads of information and variations shared by other traders here, the best thing to do is to stop reading and go back to the basics what Big E mentioned in his 463 posts in this thread and 861 posts in the CHS thread. First you learn and master the 5-Method first before you start add your own tweaks and make a new system.
Recommendations:
Read all of Big E posts... 861posts in the Craig Harris Stochastics thread and 463 posts in this TMS thread....and make notes on those training charts he posted. Pay attention whenever he mentioned PA and what you see on his training charts.
Learn the basic stuff about forex trading first. A good place to start is www.babypips.com/school
If you want to trade the way Big E described in Post#1, make sure you use his template , the Synergy APB / HA candles and use that TDI Red Green version. These are in Post#25.
Important to Note that the TDI Red Green version repaints all the bars in history so you cannot use this when you do back-testing by scrolling back your charts. The better way is to run this in live market and trade the TMS setups based on what you see without refreshing your charts. When you want to trade with entries on the APB#1 and APB#2 candles, always wait for the price bar/candle to close and use the TDI to confirm the setup.
Big E was a rule-based discretionary trader. According to studies by Dr Van K Tharp this rule-based discretionary are the best traders,

if some of you had read about Jesse Livermore, you will know, that legend he wasnt stop learning, try and be better investor !
you know Jesse Livermore and he is an inspiration to you.trading the markets is a journey and we must never stop learning. Big E also never stopped learning. He was always tweeking, testing other systems/methods making improvements because he knew his trading journey is never ending. #202

Dimsss... If there are small candles and a TDI entry signal... I pass on it and find another set up....
You must look at the body size of the APB/HA candles.
Below is GJ 4hr example
its in consolidation ... one big candle and several small candles ... it has a name aka Master Candle, a common consolidation price action candle pattern
study all previous price action Master Candle and learn how to trade the breakouts.
Master Candle is seen using either the price bar over the APB/HA candle of just the Japanese candlestick
on my chart template i simply turn off the APB/HA candle

Another trade I have entered this morning is AUDJPY short as seen here: https://www.tradingview.com/x/D4U3JcOx/ PA: Double top, second HA candle TDI crossing down and Stoch is on descend.
You are not following this thread's OP TMS 5-Method chart template
PA is the APB/HA candle and the 5EMA, Typical Price, Shift+2 is the direction. Post#261.
Many traders have failed over the past 12 years when they did not start with the basics of TMS 5-Method which are in Post#261. Most failed and will fail when they do not understand Price Action + Support/Resistance trading.
On your AJ H4 chart, I made some comments:
> observe previous price action PPA and the confluence of support/resistance with price BRN 00 levels
> the Stochastics(8,3,3) shows a certain market type condition which you can use to help you in picking the best market conditions to trade
> note the PPA was re-tested last week and can be 'strong support' which you sell in a 'strong support'.
> knowing these factors you need to manage the trade risks.
> anything can happen therefore you must decide what your exit strategy for this sell trade.

Hi all, I'm new to the thread, I spend a couple of weeks reading through the thread, downloading PDF post summaries etc. I like the TMS approach idea. I was wondering are we still closing H4 trades on US open candle closes? I use the Tradingview platform and i modified the TDI indicator to show color background on crosses, i use that as my alerts.this attached is my charts with white buy and red close trades i did last week. {image}

Good question.
1) YES! if the market type is sideways ranging and the HA candles run 3 to 8 candles.
2) NO! if the market type is trending wide range and the HA candles can run more than 8 candles. There are 29 candles in one week. This trending market type is where we make the most money.
The chart price action and the Stochastics(8,3,3) will help you pick the trending market type.
Your UJ H4 chart is a good example.
