@korosh1350

Very good question you asked @DrDick

NO. @FakeDrDave cannot trade price action. He does not understand basic price action as in Post#647.

If @DrDick knows how the lagging TDI works and he trade with the TDI#25 for entry and exit, he would not be holding on to the GU sell trades form 40 and 27 weeks. He 'hope and pray' for 40 weeks seeing his account under water and pray even harder in the last 27 weeks.

@korosh1350

I posted that old chart template as I spend these last few days of the year to clean up my PC server.
That chart template is a consolidation of Big E' 19 templates which I tested more than 10 years ago to learn how he did his system development using his blending approach.

He did use the MACD with the TDI in his old thread . See this post: https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...62#post3324862

He also use the AO and AC indicators. See this post: https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...03#post4312803

@korosh1350

IF you want to trade the 4hr as Big E mentioned in his Post#1 ... you can follow the Pacific 10PM and 2AM candles for entries and exit close all at the 6AM .

You have many options when you have mastered the 5-Method which you must learn in his old thread.

Post#1:
"
I hate trading 5min-15min-30min charts. Why? You have to monitor each trade from beginning to end and hope and pray you made a correct entry. I only trade 1hr charts during the the 1st 3 hours of the USA OPEN and 4hr trades at night. I check for set ups at 10pm Pacific,2am and close all 4 hour trades by 6am Pacific....

@korosh1350

You will find many setups at Pacific 10PM and 2AM which are not HA candles #1 and #2 but are candles#3,4, 5,6,7, 8, .... etc.

You need to rely more on his 5-Method price action setups.

@sathiskbala

Yes. I do some coding myself but that's just one of my many hobbies.

If you have a strategy which you want to code an EA, then it is better to get a professional coder. There are a few very good coders here in FF.

Unless you mastered this method already... keep the questions or concerns coming. Post your Demo trades too. Continue making Demo trades to build your confidence and study old charts where the TDI gives clean signals... it will pay you in spades... well, pips in our case...

Hey I'm new to this and I've got some questions. I can see how the strategy will work. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the entries are in 10 pm and 2am pacific and we close all positions at 6 am. It would mean the profit target would be 1 to 2 H4 candles. Does it mean the Risk Reward will be low since the stop loss would also require some significant pips 30-50 pips minimum on H4. So does it make it harder for the price to reach 1x Reward. Does this strategy rely on small wins and then some huge wins at high volume? Are we also holding the news events which would be before 6am pacific and taking advantage of it. Or are we avoiding high impact news due to uncertainty?

Hi Emmanuel,

Yes, this is a very nice post you shared earlier. I like it very much... and it explains why you can trade w/o TDI on screen. To me, this is what I want to study (first).
THANK YOU!

@ Korosh, I'm not an experienced trader at all, but that post from Emmanuel is worth a deeper look into it, imho.

And looking at inputs 12-2 and 4-6 when you zoom in on the graph, the angle changes does anyone have a suitable solution for this?

Hi, not sure where to post this as I have never posted on this site before. Been trading demo for a while across all major currency pairs (USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD, NZD) as I feel like I should have a good overview of the market to optimise trade opportunity's. However, I'm also looking for 5 pairs to monitor more closely to practice some techniques on and I don't want to be overwhelmed with too many pairs. Any recommendations on what 5 pairs to trade? Looking for a nice assortment that covers the American, Europe and Asian markets.

You can start with these pairs:

AUDUSD
EURUSD
GBPUSD
USDCAD
USDCHF

AUDJPY
EURJPY
USDJPY
GBPJPY

When you have more experience then you can consider the others EUR crosses and GBP crosses.

I look for 4hr trades starting at the daily Tokyo open at 9am local time till end of day at London close.
This would cover the entire London session and New York open.

I also swing trade the Daily / Weekly at the open of the Sydney/Tokyo open.
