what I look at -
my 1min chart clicked to 1hr
I have 1H envelope center highlighted with dashed line... last 1hr swing 4 roots up then struggle to get 5th root (4th and 5th marked dashed line). 2 standout root levels between 4 & 5 marked solid blue.
then zoom to 1 m and rollover is at those 2 standout root levels (which are 2 roots up from previous swing lows).
and for fun a wavy one with 3 (+) root drop this morning. now forming hard edge.
anyhow... choose your illusion. just dots on a screen ... somebody likes to say

1440 period wave, each ma shifted ahead by 1/2 ma length making a FLD wave. Then make an envelope out of each one at a ratio that matches previous 256, 128, 64 curve fit. In this case .4885. Ex 256 divided by .4885 = 524 envelope. Remove the ma's and just leave the envelopes. This then forms interlacing shoulders or triangles to trade. Your mileage may vary. Standard exclusions apply.

I am not a programmer but more of a hacker. This is what I put together. Clicking the respective button will add or remove and recalculate the projected envelope channel. The vertical grey line shows when the calculation was last done. Files are editable. This is TMA (sma of sma). If someone could turn it into just sma that would be nice. I have not been able to. Works pretty well, though. You can set offset and percentage sizing.
