the heikin cloud seems to be pretty consistent im regards to ny session bias. Given the position of price at equities open (frankfurt being easier in my opinion), ny bias can be determined. Bare bones, above for uptrend ect. If one waits to the open of ny, watch momentum at prev. Or curr extremes given your bias, good entries appear to play out. May the markets go with us all, peace..

maybe it will finish the week off near 1.40, which would be great for bulls

there is still a risk for it to close under 1.38 today though

on the weekly chart there are technical preconditions for growth towards 1.4660 (2020 high)
My intention is to get my long back on again, when this USDCAD pair dips down to 1.32. The correlation on CAD with OIL is growing back on again. We should see oil prices rally a little in coming months, into 2023, and CAD should gain in strength from there.

I'll wait for a reversal to 50% Fib, which was determined to be 1.3333. I'll wait again until it goes lower, to 1.32, then I long.

USDCAD is shows good movement for now. I suggest it more bullish. For now I see USDCAD will rise to the level of 1.38990.
It could turn more bearish next week. I think that 1.35 is a good target for bears. BOC decision is on Wednesday.

1.35 could be a tough support to crack decisively today after the BOC announcement and press conference, I put a buy limit order there

Despite a fairly substantial sell off in the dollar this week, Usd/Cad has remained relatively in tact. If/when the dollar starts to turn around u/c should be a good buy.

BOC did raise by a smaller 50 bps vs 75 bps. I'll wait until CAD comes down to 1.32 before I long. No rush, no hurry.

BOC rate increase was about keeping the minority gov't in power. The NDP party (who are propping up the Liberal Gov't) wanted to smaller rate increase to 'help' poor Canadians and magically it happened. Pure politics, not economics!

I'm still in this trade from the 1.35 level and I expect the rally to accelerate this week towards 1.40 if the FED is hawkish and the NFP report is strong

i bought from 1.378 before the NFP report today, target is 1.40+

i also put another buy limit order to catch dips
