I just shorted UJ at 144.70 with 40 pip SL. If it breaks out, I lose 40 pips. If BOJ intervenes, I get 10x profit. Insane risk to reward ratio. I don't know who would still buy UJ with the risk of intervention hanging over the pair. Intervention means stopping out. We know intervention might not work but that doesn't mean BOJ won't do it again. It's a very interesting dynamic going on here.
True. But thats what they are aiming at the moment. If the market all positions itself like you they will just catch your stops and use them as leverage to plunge the higher levels. Besides the fact that you arent paying overnight to keep longs on u/j due to the diference in rates which really makes a long term difference

Markets have setup another bull trap
The fundamentals have not changed
Russia will declare the sham voting in their new areas of Ukraine now part of Russia
US unemployment needs to pick up in US it is not
FED will keep foot on the gas
Winter coming for Europe
China more turmoil with lock downs
US Markets will drop again and the money will go to safe haven
BoE is poring gas on their Inflation with printing money to prop up the cable
so watch for FIREWORKS
Not good for investors

Unless BoJ intervenes again USD will break 145 and once it does 150 is inevitable.

Waiting on 145.6 area to sell. I think we have another bull trap ahead. On the 4hr this would be wave b of wave 4. GJ looks to also be waiting on Monday.

USDJPY price action on the daily time frame is consolidating as it tackles the 144.620/147.680 horizontal resistance zone (purple) that has been in place since August 1998. Based on the bullish activity last week Monday, before the sideways of the rest of the week, we may see further northward move, but this would likely be brief. We could see a southward market engineering to an area of value for liquidity grab before further bullish drive.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

this pair is still being stubborn, but we can't rule out a bigger dump if the NFP report disappoints this week

Still waiting over here??? GJ is leaving the station. Looks like wave 3 initiated. I am have been in, but was waiting for this confirmation to build. will wait for the retest and rejection to add more. could happy quick though.
