Putin not going down easy. This is bad for Europe. Purely EUR weakness move. Usually price only consolidates prior to such a big USD rate announcement but this Putin announcement is causing a lot of selling pressure on the EUR and GBP.

Eur is fundamentally weak, Usd is stronger. As long as fundamentals stay that way, eurusd is bearish.

Because there are mainly Russians living. Ukraine's have tortured those Russians for years, they forbid their language, were harassing them, killing them. Thats why Putin invaded THAT part of Ukraine, to provide freedom to his own people.

Hmmm, I didn't think of that. Are you saying I could get banned from the board?? Well, most of the people in my country think this way. We live in Europe and this situation is not a joke. Well, what can I do. If I get banned because I don't follow the (bought) media,it will not be the first time. At least I can think with my own head. I don't want to entertain this argument because much of the world (even non-mainstream media) has acknowledged that Russian military activities in Ukraine do not suit the actions of a plan of liberation. This is evidenced by taking military control of nuclear facilities, first-hand accounts and video evidence of war atrocities inflicted upon Ukrainian civilians, etc. The concrete evidence leads one to believe that Russia is the primary aggressor in this conflict. And since you brought up "bought media", do you not think that those non-mainstream news sources are also unbought? Absolutely not, every media source is in some way compromised by vested interest.

But please relax man, we're all just traders here. Several times in the past, others drove this thread into COVID conspiracy speculation and the forum administrator had to intervene. Several members were suspended, not sure if some were banned, but it's clear that these threads were meant to discuss trading and not politics.

I absolutely agree. I was banned from ForexLive for one post only, I cited scientific research. I just answered to a guy asking a question that on hindsight was illogical - Why would Rusia ask for referendum on certain areas of Ukraine. I'll stop posting for another year now. Maybe free speech and free thinking comes back eventually.

Russia is obviously on the wrong for starting the war, but a lot of people in Ukraine and in 3rd countries didn't help one bit with actions and words. Expanding NATO for example should have been avoided and was a promised to the Russians it wouldn't happen, it was also promised to them to include them in NATO decisions. And this is americans and germans saying it, and not Russian lovers.

Of course!! He invaded that part that he believed that he would be able to conquer quickly, and then would subdue the remainder of the Ukraine and annex the entirety. It is clear from other world invasions that there is little done to restore the invaded territory to the rightful sovereign country, and little done in the way of reprisal other than hand-wringing and a few countries at the UN voicing condemnation of the action. For example, have a look at the Turkish invasion of northern Cypress.
