DislikedWhile I, like most traders here, have been short on the USD for a while, now I am flat. Reason: When a trend or stock etc becomes front page news, is on the television & radio every day, and everyone you bump into everywhere is talking about it - it is time to take profits and re-evaluate before jumping back in to the market. It never hurts me to take profits and be flat even if I leave a lot of pips on the table because I can never, ever seem to call the top or bottom and I don't bother to try. It always hurts me to give back pips to the market...Ignored

DislikedWhy Deutsche Thinks A Fed Policy Terminal Rate Of 5% Is Appropriate (1235 Edt/1535 Gmt) A 5% terminal rate, or the peak for the Federal Reserve's fed funds rate, may be required to bring inflation down, according to analysts from Deutsche Bank led by chief U.S. economist Matthew Luzzetti. Great stuff - 5% interest rate will make millions homeless and bankrupt.Ignored
Disliked{quote} There are very few ways to bring down inflation: One of them is to destroy the job market. Obviously, they don't publicize this because of politics. So when you see strong job reports, that's the last thing the FED wants to see when inflation is high.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I think you will be okay if you're approaching these shorts from a long-term perspectiveConsider that the U.S. is basically confirmed for aggressive hike rates for the duration of the Ukraine-Russia conflict and that FOMC is only a week away. However, a change is inevitable to happen in the long-term, as the ECB is now considering hiking rates aggressively as well.
