This morning we're selingl Eur/usd @ 0080 till it breaks and see if can swap out orders Target Support at 9960.

Price Map from monday got us safely through all this weeks swings in eur/usd. Price maps produced by rotational sequencing, Fibonacci projecitons and 7 wave counts.

People trading on short time frames appear to be schizophrenic and all over the place, just like the price action itself. Euro is going up.

Study here about how financial time series comprise a combination of deterministic and random elements, and then return and share your thoughts. Perhaps it will offer some insight into modifying your 7-wave theory to be easier to implement and more accurate.

suthmo, I gave up on EW because the levels are subjective. My wave pattern was usually different from another trader's.
Do you have more information or a link about Quantum Wave Priniple?

News is effecting markets on a daily basis

It is highly unlikely that news of any kind is EFFECTING the markets to any signifcant degree. It is more likely, though, that the market movements that are reported are effecting, as well as affecting, the news about the markets.

Sorry, man, but I think you missed the post where it has been discovered that there are no time zones. Therefore, no EST exists. You'll have to find a different frame of reference to use.

Euro is going up.

If you mean going up right now, do you mean the Euro as the single currency? If so, then clearly GBP is going up even stronger: Take a look at EURGBP and EURUSD H1 and see for yourself.

(GBPUSD is much preferred to trade on H1 for the last several hours compared to EURxxx pairs.)

I don't see much upside to the Euro, at least fundamentally it's in a terrible spot compared to the Dollar primary due to Russia.

Hi , man... It was NOT a perfectly good entry....It was a bad entry and my SL minimized my losses , as it should, no matter if awake or asleep. . . .

The price action on short TFs (which ones, exactly, do you classify as short TFs?) is not schizophrenic at all. Take a broader view, and see, for example on EU, that the D1 TF is working on a new up swing. For that to occur, smaller TFs MUST go into up trends. And as we all know, trends include retracements. So, when H1 goes into a retracement, every TF below that MUST go into down trends to create the H1 retracement. But because of the fact that every trend has retracements, then all of those TFs below H1 that are making their down trends are going to include RALLIES (retracements). So because you have not worked out the inter-relationships between TFs, it APPEARS to you as though the "short" TFs are all over the place and schizophrenic.

In fact, if you have enough data to be able to display D1 through multi-year TFs, when you compare a "big" TF, such as Year5, with a "short" TF, like D1, you will declare, "People trading on short time frames [like D1] appear to be schizophrenic and all over the place, just like the price action itself."

Remember, financial time series are fractal-like in nature. So, if you see some relationship between sets of TFs, then EVERY set of TFs with the same scaling factor will also have those same relationships.

Wait a minute. Some clarification is needed here.

First, do we agree that a good entry is one that follows the entry criteria for your system, and a bad entry violates at least one of those criteria?

Second, did you decide that it was a bad entry at some point AFTER you made the entry, or did you already decide at the time that you placed the entry, "Hey, just for fun, let's see what happens if I make a bad entry by violating criterion xxx..."?

Third, I consider another possibility: You THOUGHT that you followed all of your entry criteria so that at the time that you placed the entry, it was a good entry. But sometime later, you examined the trade and discovered that you made a mistake and at least one of your entry criteria was not satisfied.

I have to wonder why you think that is a requirement for a good trader. I believe that there are plenty of "good traders" that find plenty of trading opportunities over a maximum of 12 hours of a day, and usually within a span of 6-8 hours. Personally, I rarely examine more than 6 pairs, more typically only 3, I don't trade every day and in fact, don't even look for trading opportunities every day--far from it. So, I don't see such profound alertness to trading opportunities as being a necessary quality of a good trader.
