You are correct, because "most of the time", the "market", i.e. the specific TF being analyzed, trends only about 30% of the time. Hence, it is simply impossible to show a condition "most of the time" if said condition does not exist "most of the time".

Correct again: The published statistics by brokers of the percentage of their clients that lose supports this.

Finding any randomly selected individual with a personal acquaintance with a winner of a significant lottery amount is relatively uncommon as well. But uncommon does not equate to impossible.

1. The definition of "trend" must be specified because there are many definitions available that do not always agree on trend direction, or even if there is a trend.

2. Whether or not an entry is made depends entirely on a specific system. So it seems to me that you are simply on a quest for system details to determine if an entry decision would agree with your own system analysis.

Great results DrDave. One more tip I can give from my many years of experience is, having strong feeling about what you do and style. Confidence can and will get an unlucky trader to a lucky milionaire. Life is how we see it Stay strong!

If you care to waste your time reading here, you can see many examples of using only TA to determine direction bias given on several TFs and what TFs to expect to be active THE FOLLOWING DAY. There are many charts posted with the follow up on that next day activity.

If you see only "good trends" in those posts, then that is simply because the TA selected IN ADVANCE on which TFs to expect the "good trend" to be, not because of selection bias in next day follow up posts.

Well, from my experience in life, strong feelings about what one does, style, and confidence are over-rated as tools for success. I have seen so many failures that came from have strong feelings and confidence about something, but the proper analysis was not done, so that all of this confidence and strong feelings were being poured into a situation that was BASED ON A LOSING PREMISE. And typically, by the time that the "owner" of this losing system discovers that it is indeed a losing system, he is so far invested in the system that he simply will not (sometime cannot) abandon it, DESPITE knowing full well that the probability is close to zero that it can be recovered.

And then desperation mode kicks in as he tries to find some way to now liquidate the system as quickly as possible such that the determination of loss versus time is a favorable as possible.

That post completes my view about luck thanks, but you need energy to think and invest in fx and in the strong feeling (dedication) there should be some lack of laziness inside - courage and without that a new trader can't go anywhere except if, he buys an expert advisor and let it run all by it self!

on the daily timeframe this week is good. first there was a quite bulish movement. and now it is starting falling again. after the weekend i do not expect very big gaps. so the euro is likely to fall a little more against the dollar.

EURUSD closed below the channel only to close back inside and print a bullish candle, but its momentum is fading now, late Friday where London Close is near and also inside the same range - 1.0279/1.0123 (we may see it play in until Wednesdays FOMC decision) we'll see.

It was an excellent week of profits and fun, you are all great traders even the new ones managed to make pips, keep it green!

NEXT WEEK time for bears bring price DOWN more ....... Powell said next week increase rate 75 bps, due to target 3.7% interest rate this years
