There're still sellers on the road with sell orders to 1.04052 / 1.03908 and few of "BB's" to 1.03645 / 1.03525
while retailers are on the Buy side forming main SL clusters of course

On a more serious note I'm flat - waiting for the 2:00 pm FED speaking. I'm waiting to see if they "pre-announce" a 0.75% rate hike for Wednesday. This has the possibility for some volatility...then again he might just say the same-ole-same-ole crap...

Yield triangle EURUSD

Hello dear traders,

The yield triangle for the Dax or the S&P has existed for many years, but not for the EURUSD so far. This was probably also due to the fact that the EURUSD is a typical sideways market.

The average monthly return short was -2.19% and the average monthly return long was 2.26%.

On the year side things were a bit different as EURUSD has risen slightly more than fallen over a 50 year period.

At the weekend I created a yield triangle in the EURUSD for you. The returns are approximate values, as there are different types of offsetting for interest, not all of which can be recorded here. The right side is buying at the beginning of the year and the bottom side is selling at the end of the year. You can find an example on the slide. Of course, I have also created the Yield Triangle as a PDF for download. I hope that the information will help you.

I can't tell.. even if I could it would be second thoughts and that can hurt.. So I stay away from getting distracted by another scenario..

It's not just talk - it was a trial balloon that the FED sent up today and well the results weren't pretty.

Let's face it folks there are some things that the FED can't control - food prices and energy prices (these 2 make up 35% of inflation) Of the other 65% the FED has some input and we've seen a preview with lower mortgage applications and drops in airline prices (however little).

So the FED has a dilema: Do they stick to the script and raise 0.5% Wednesday like they said they would and hint that 0.75% is coming in July (which is the scenario I believe will occur) OR

Does the FED shock the market and do a 0.75% rate increase NOW and July and then say after July we will become data dependent and leave the September rate increase open....

Either way the dollar will continue to strengthen until it doesn't - I'd expect any pullbacks to be nothing more than shorting opportunities.

PERSONALLY I don't think wave 3 is over - there was no capitulation YET....
...because you never know - until you do!
