The COT data can only be useful if you have dramatic change in the numbers, for example seeing it stay at around 90 to 130 and for 4-6 months, and then jumps to 400.
And also coupled by a dramatic change in the market behavior. both at the same time

Otherwise the COT is pretty useless to look at and try make up something out of it

The daily chart shows that the pair had its second rejection at a flipped level of resistance. The sellers may look to go short in the charts such as the H4, H1 and 15M at the beginning of the next week. The price has enough space to travel towards the South as well. Thus, the next week may end up being a bearish week.

We know you are a new trader who started learning to trade in June 2020. It is still less than 2 years and you are acting like a guru here in Forex Factory.

We also know from your posts in FF that your dad is a 63 years old this year and he is retired IT professional and he trades the HongKong HSI for his retiremenet expenses.

I have told you to be humble and learn trading from your dad. You will learn nothing here being your cocky attitude and sheer ignorance n FF.

I told you many times to go home and ask your dad what a KEDGE trading account is. He can explain to you that a 94% DD in a KEDGE account does not require 1720% to recover. You are learning from old text book material and do not have the up-to-date knowledge about how investor type traders trade the forex market using KEDGE account for various purposes. KEGDE account are use in the test and development of new trading system strategies which run parallel to other trading system strategy. It is similar but not exactly the same as running a master trading account with several small slave accounts. New trading strategies are tested in slave accounts. Simply put, a 94% DD loss is taking a risk of 0.005% and cutting loss is just so negligible when your have a Master account. You can simply trade with OPM i.e. huge profits you made in your Master account and use Slave accounts for test and development purposes. Its real money ... OPM. No need to open Demo trading account.

Remember what your dad must have taught you: Do Not trade with money from your hard-earned salaried day job. Trade with money you make from investments like owning properties and collecting rental income as passive income when you retire. Properties will always appreciate in value over time. Trading retail spot forex ... 99% will lose money.

Next, you need to be honest when you post in FF especially when you post in a dead OP' thread.

You have been posting many fake trades charts which you use photoshop editing by copy and paste on old charts to boast and massage your own big ego.

Agreed pack it up inflation rise so we have cheaper dollars so we can buy EURUSD and as much-needed. It's ideal way of help from USA for Europe deal with the terrorists intruder Russia into Ukraine. So we can buy more weapons and hire more Deltas to deal with the problem Faster.

I have not heard such a thing, nor do I agree with it. That being said, the COT report does come to us late. However, it is still useful information to aid in making trading decisions. I would never trade on it alone.

This is a good idea! I think it is better to have a separate account for testing strategies, with a small balance, using the smallest lot size allowed by your broker. This is superior to demo trading, because it allows for a trader to experience the psychological aspect of trading, something you really don't get from demo trading. When a trader has to wrestle with fear and greed, it makes a huge difference in their trading performance, compared to trading in an environment wherein he has nothing to lose. After all, every strategy, no matter how good, can be stifled by fear and greed. Therefore, it makes sense to include live trading in testing a strategy to truly master it.

Actually, when you know how to trade supply and demand, the COT report is quite useful.

I disagree, the COT only gets updated a week after the new positions register. so you really need a massive change in both positioning and market price
so it becomes tradable. I have been trading a COT strategy since 2006, and that's the only way to do it

EURUSD price action on the D1 time frame turned sideways after some bullish attempts to retest the broken down 1.11505 horizontal support (purple) seen on the W1 time frame. Although we may see further bullish attempt in the early part of this week, the general technical structure favours bears. So, any further northward market operation would be corrective.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.
