anyone tried moving the stop to 10 pips profit after 40 pips profit reached as stated in the documentation? would really like to know by doing this will i still be able to hit the target projection ...thanks in advance

the system has been working well for me that sad thing about it is that i dont have enough money in my account to use it on several currencies at one time. i just use it on one and take profit but just imagine when i am able to do it on several currencies i will be rich rich rich rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Just think positive and all the pips will come your way.

I'm a little puzzled
everybody is getting so exited about this method in this thread...

And then I see the post from llambert3 that says that the performance on GBPUSD has been negative for the whole August 06.

To read that doesn't really exite me..

should not a good method be able to at least break even over the period of one month?

From my experience over the last couple of weeks, Mouteki's trading method is NOT successful. I recommend you dont waste anymore time on it.

colbru, it was one month out of many. Others say August is not good for ANY strategy. Other than that, I think at the end of a month, Mouteki can be positive. Whether +10, +100, or +1000 is the problem. What happens is most signals fail 5 or 10 times in a row before getting 4 or 5 positives, but the 5 to 10 in a row negative hurts our minds or our accounts get down to where we can't trade anymore. Frankly, I stopped using Mouteki in October because of all the negatives causing my account to drop, so I needed a better way or a higher success rate so to speak. However, sometimes you can look at a Mouteki setup and just know it will work (like yesterdays on the cable) It looked great. I sold the cable using another method and just went for 60 pips and got it. The Mouteki sell from yesterday hasn't hit the target yet though (around 1.8780 or 90)

Unless a system is 85% successful, then it's not really worth trading full time, as there are PLENTY of systems out there that are, when used properly.

So, 1-2 outta 10 is acceptable as far as stop outs. More than that, and you should re-evaluate either yourself, or your system.

I don't use Mouteki, but this seems to be a prevailing sentiment recently.

you are 100% right!!!! Mouteki was very successful in July and September but percentage wise not very good the other months. The only reason you come out ahead is because the tp of the positives outweigh all the s/l that get hit from the negatives.

I find this a very interesting statement!

I have been "efforting" on a method which looks to be about 75% accurate. I would really like to know if you could just share a couple of the systems that you have found to be 85%? I have enjoyed reading many of your posts in the past. Thanks for any advice.

I have tested Mouteki with a little discretion over past 5 weeks and have had a 67% success rate from 76 trades (even 76% on the 4 major pairs from 34 trades) and averaged 472 pips per week

"Mouteki" is simply the most unprofitable of Tom Demarks strategies described in "The New Art of Technical Analysis"...in his book this is the first thing he introduces, yet then he talks of many different filters and other origonal tactics he uses in the market...If you want to become a better trader and trade with this method, get the book, this Mouteki guy not only stole the information exactly from the book, he diddn't even share the parts that make it most profitable.

Learn to combine Mouteki//DeMark with your own analysis, that will make it better, if you own analysis is any good.

Mouteki//DeMark's 100 - 350 pips projections will get hit in a trending market, but when it's not trending, learn to take profit where the price will most likely stop and change direction. Learn to use Mouteki with your own longer term trendlines and channels. That will make it better. Otherwise you're just jumping in with every signal you get, and that erodes your account a lot.

I like Mouteki//DeMark's strategy because that is how I draw my trendlines. I just stuck around in the beggining to see if he will come forward with more interesting information, but he didn't.

Simple Mouteki system profitable? I believe it is, but it can be made super-profitable if you're paying attention to other patterns that form.

Hi does anyone know of a programmer that can modify a portion of the existing Mouteki E.A? I think the original author was "AHA" here on this forum but I'm unable to send him a private message. Aha if you read this please respond.
