That's true but only IF you learn. The problem in live trading without solid experience is one just sees what he wants to see, rather what is actually happening in front of them. And only obsessed with the outcome. Being hasty and not paying enough attention with a relaxed mind.
There's no need to learn through pressure. Learning is best done in a relaxed environment and then experimented in a higher stage.

There's no problem with learning live trading using the lowest possible lot size. It's great. But then again, that only works if you're just there to LEARN. Not be obsessed with the outcome of that particular trade. To be able to see a trade through.

This discussion is of course open to subjectivity as we all know there are many ways to look at something.

There can be a person who dedicates his time demo trading but doing it seriously and taking notes before, during, and after each trade. Making a journal.
On the other hand, another one who does the same, but wants a leg up so goes live with smallest position sizes and learns that way.

Yes, of course, one may take many different points of view on this. And whatever works for you I am in support of.

But I'm a bit puzzled about your reason for posting on this. Are you speaking hypothetically, or about yourself, or are you speaking from the experience of working with or supporting others? And what kind of response are you looking for, beyond an opportunity to vent your own view?

Let me share a little about my perspective. I manage things by the day rather than by the trade, Trading takes time and energy, in particular if pursued at decent position size. And I want to do other things in life, so my approach could be summarised by the slogan in my signature. Is there a homerun on offer I want to hit it, such as this morning from around 7am to 10.30 UK time. No homeruns on offer? I'll take one good trade and then call it a day. To me that's a recipe for long-term capital growth and a healthy work/life balance.

medici, all I meant to point out was the importance of serious demo trading and the effects it can have on one's learning when seriously applied. And how it can help you learn without financial pressure. That's it.

Pressure is only good when applied to a good base of knowledge and already achieved experiences. But without any decent base, what good is it?
It would be like to have a beginner at piano practice a Rachmaninoff Prelude. That beautiful piece is only gonna get butchered.

Let's put the matter to rest. Stay green ; )
