Wow Vincent, that EA has a better understand of price action that you have.

If you recall, I have posted several times that because Vincent tried for at least 10 years to figure out the 5-method without success that he finally turned to EAs to trade because they can "think" way better than he can about trading. They just kill his accounts more slowly than when he tries to trade by himself.

How Stoch can confirm the direction, it is oscillator?

How can Stoch and TDi show different data if they both are oscillators and TDI is like advanced RSI with 2 lines like Stoch?

You can add 2 Stoch, 2 TDI or 2 RSI with different settings and it will be the same. Doesn't matter what BigE said 10 years ago. Just check the formulas used in the indicators you are using. They all use the same data. It is like to have watches with Roman numerals on left hand and watches with Arabic numerals or the right and say that you know the time more accurately.

The only difference between Stoch and TDi is how it smooth the close values and for what period. Placing both on one chart is nonsense.

I know that TDi is the heart of this "system", so instead of using same indicators twice I'd suggest use one to measure the distance from average (replacing useless Stoch). At least that will make sense and it will be more accurate and useful for trading.

Too much time is being spent on TDI and Stochastics,
Too little time on Price Action and Support/Resistance.
And no time spend on Money Management, Risk Management for entries and exits, When to Cut-Losses short and How to Let Profits Run.
You need to find your WINNING EDGE and the TDI is not in the winning edge equation.

Honestly on the 5 method you don't really need any indicators because the simple entry rules are so basic and clear cut. If I were to pick two it would be the tdi & stochs.

I almost always have the tdi & stoch on all my charts regardless of the method being used.

However, it's not necessary on the 5 method for me. It gives people more confidence when they have it on their charts it seems.... and it's a good confirmation to the current PA and possible trade.

You can trade the 5 method without the TDI if it's a problem...

PA is HA Candles, PA crosses the yellow line and closes... enter on the next candle if it's the same color. When candles flatten out... exit. Stay in the trade as long as it doesn't cross back over the yellow line and close.

The TDI just gives me a lot more information for making my entries & exits decisions.

2scoops asked me a long time ago what would be the most beneficial to learning this method for higher success... The answer was simple... study old charts for set ups... now strip down everything on that chart at that point... trends, angles, S/R levels, News times, Stoch angle within the 20-80 lines..etc. Burn it into your memory... I spent 2 years doing that.... so what does that mean?

It takes me 15 seconds to strip a chart down to nothing including the TDI & Stoch's. Taking clean trades is a breeze for me... why?

I can take you to water but I can't make you drink... follow the simple entry & exit rules. Forget other indicators. I went down those roads so you wouldn't have too...

You are going to have two watches with different times.

I can create 100 more websites and write there that stochastic shows oversold and overbought areas. But it won't show it anyway. The only result of posting nonsense will be that it will be thoughtlessly repeated on the forums.

I don't want to replace Stoch. I say that putting Stoch and TDI on one chart is nonsense. Stoch can't confirm TDI, and TDI can't confirm Stoch because they are EQUAL. And also Stoch can't show the direction because it is oscillator.

I mean that when you see such a "confirmation" you are fooling yourself. It just show the same data a bit later and "confirmation" appear. But if you feel comfortable with that why not. Just keep in mind that in making trading decisions you rely on non-existent.
