Maybe he will be broke like after Afghanistan. That's a lot of fronts to fight NATo on. Lets see he has a economy the size of Italy. That will be shrinking with the sanctions. Maybe he will pick a fight. But when his people are starving. They may decide to be under a new management.

I don't think they will try anything with Finland or Sweden, they can't stretch that far, plus think about it, Russia does not have many population to be able to grab all that territory. This is Russia population 146,037,365.

It looks like it is falling. If they had 200,000,000 and growing, than they would be able to do much more. But for now, I think Ukraine it is and they will settle there.

We are not back in the 80s like in Afghanistan. This is the new age, different times. Just also remember that there are a lot of Russian businessman that have billions of $ in American banks. They can pull all of that out their accounts in a matter of minutes. America and Russia will always sit and make a deal. It is the small countries between that pay the price. Russia is not picking a fight with NATO, they are just showing some power and saying now they will take over Ukraine because NATO you came too close. That's it.

Yeah but they attacked Finland back in WW2 so i don't know man i expect everything from Russia they have no limits

in fact the only thing allowing the invasion is those nukes
the best way to deal with this is ramp up sanctions to the limit ,highly likely there be a long drawn out conflict in Ukraine
you can't mess about with the sanctions holding back anything ,you can't be a customer of Russia while Putin exists

They really need a SWIFT ban. An economic war against Russia must start. Soft sanctions doesn't scare them. Russia should be the next Iran.

Russia needs to be cut off from Europe for the time being. Russian oligarchs visas cancelled, property seized. Sports, too...out of all european competitions, Putin loves to use sport to spread his propaganda. If they don't want to act as a civilized country, they have no place in the civilized world.
