And that brings up a point.....Always, always have a picture in your mind of the overall market your trading....I like the hourly chart so I can see a week at a time, but even a 15, 30 or 4 hour will tell you a story. Can you decipher one....wouldn't you like to be holding a short from last nights attempt at the resistance level?

Ok, thanks for help. Do you put them on the most recent bottom or top or go farther back to previous highs and lows?

Making trades like that would be my ultimate goal. Trying to learn the concepts on the 1min for now as I now understand why Parisboy kept advising us to train on the 1min because it really does make you learn quicker as patterns are constantly in the making.
Hoping to expand these concepts to the 15-30min in the future once I feel I've understood "enough" to make a buck.

Thank you guys for your posts, it really makes a big difference to our learning. One really needs good teachers in life for the things he wants to accomplish. It can take you much longer to be able to wrap your head around something on your own rather than experienced people show you the way.

Closed at the middle point (after the first time which I must've closed in the first place.) (Still have that "hold" mindset I need to let go to be successful in scalping!)

Now for a lesson in market structure and Market Makers in action....

1....you all witnessed the sell off at 1.36000. It took some time but it finally broke and a ton of traders went short....and where did they place their stops?
Yep....just above 1.36000....

So, what need to happen so MMakers can churn the profits for today....you will see in the next chart..

You guessed it.....right back to 13600 and above so they can clear alll the stops sitting there....stops are cash in the bank for those who make the markets....and knowing that you can be aware trading a mover like Cable.....this happens over and over and over again...And I thank Them Very Much, because I know what is happenning when I see a sell off and a gradual retrace...especially to a big round number like 1.36000

ps...that was my only reason for the last trade
