Think of a typical sine wave.

Focal points occur at the center of the up wave and again at the center of the down wave, thus showing the form and amplitude of the up and down portions of the sine wave.

Knowing the instrument you trade, its nuances, its temperament, can go a long way determining how you trade it. One thing about trading GBP/USD is big round numbers and how it begins its oscillations around those number.....today was no different, so using this knowledge and the envelope chart, it was easy to countertrend trade all morning...every time it tried to rally, shorts taken.....today nearly 100 pips banked on the trades shown on the chart......sorry, I would like to say there were a few losses but there were none...lol

yes, its easy to get fooled trading Cable,.....it surely has the look northward but those three crows pretty much negate too much movement north at this time...may later .....especially at this time of day...
