I am working with this version right now and I think this is the best version right now
I am working on XAU/USD only and The results is awesome with a very very low DD ~ 0
I will test it for couple of months and I will try to list all my comments if there is any to make it more stable and perform better

I agree that was a great contribution.
It has some Ordererror 138 on example XAUEUR and US30 perhaps more, but I think it can be easly fixed with checking how many digits the broker has.
Works great with "the usual" pairs.

Yes. Robin's hedging filter works for a given range of price, when the price is within the range will not do hedging. I found a scenario and I think this scenario will lead us to lose a lot of money
I will suggest a solution and I hope if we all think together to find a better approach

Example
Order 1 - Buy 0.01
Order 2 - Buy 0.01
Order 3 - Buy 0.02
Order 4 - Buy 0.03
Order 5 - Buy 0.05
Order 6 - Buy 0.08
Order 7 - Sell 0.08 -> Hedge order

then the sell will close the first buy order on profit

Order 2 - Buy 0.01
Order 3 - Buy 0.02
Order 4 - Buy 0.03
Order 5 - Buy 0.05
Order 6 - Buy 0.08

I suddenly found the program opens 2 orders at the same time

5 old orders
Order 2 - Buy 0.01
Order 3 - Buy 0.02
Order 4 - Buy 0.03
Order 5 - Buy 0.05
Order 6 - Buy 0.08

2 new orders
Order 7 - Buy 0.08
Order 8 - Sell 0.08

Order 7 opened because we already under the next buy level
and Order 8 opened because we have to hedge at this point

but if we looked at this scenario we open 2 orders with the same lot and in different direction
There are no meaning of opening 2 new trades at the same price in different direction

I think one of the solution could be adding a new parameter to choose the number of opened orders we want to hedge
so if we set this parameter with 2 for example

The last scenario will be

5 old orders
Order 2 - Buy 0.01
Order 3 - Buy 0.02
Order 4 - Buy 0.03
Order 5 - Buy 0.05
Order 6 - Buy 0.08

2 new orders
Order 7 - Buy 0.08 -> opened because we already below the new buy level
Order 8 - Sell 0.16 -> The hedge order = the sum of the lots of the last 2 orders

so this hedge order now has a meaning and do its job

we will end up with

Order 2 - Buy 0.08
Order 3 - Buy 0.08

Order 6 - Buy 0.08
Order 7 - Sell 0.08

I think we will ended up with a margin call if the price continues his way down

I am not a coder, but i would like to help as much as posssible. And yes, in some of my backtesting, there are instances where the quity is slowly eaten away until margin call. It sort of makes a loop that it cannot recover from.

Hope we can add more feedback to further develop hedging. And thank you to romiek for continuing work for hedge.

If the price go up again we will close all the order when they reach the TP
because the Buy lots are greater than the sell lots
so we can close it on profit

and If we can add the number of hedge orders as an attribute it will be a huge advantage for example

Order 1 - Buy 0.01
Order 2 - Buy 0.01
Order 3 - Buy 0.02
Order 4 - Buy 0.03
Order 5 - Buy 0.05
Order 6 - Buy 0.08

if the attribute = 2
then

Order 1 - Buy 0.01
Order 2 - Buy 0.01
Order 3 - Buy 0.02
Order 4 - Buy 0.03
Order 5 - Buy 0.05
Order 6 - Buy 0.08
Order 7 - Sell 0.13

Please share the setting for this. Because i tried this version but it always stop during the backtest.

This is a very good idea. I have encountered slowly losing equity and eventually margin call, I think this will solve it.

I hope i corrected Hedging.
I remove hedge order and last 2 orders of cycle when price goes in the correct direction.

Tests and feedback needed.

Question:

How do I flush the variables, when I reboot Icarus? When I turn off the EA, and change settings, and run again - current drawdown is not in sync. It says i have drawdown even if there is none.
