GOLD is difficult to trade.

I try as much to keep it tight and scalping it.

IT will not make it easy to spot their true intention, we just can estimate from Price Action.

My long may not survive if any spike above 30 pips....lol

Its little hard to understand GOLD true direction.

It looks like it gave a break and retest of a level but also Head and shoulders pattern. I will wait to see market structure break to switch bias to bullish or 1830 level break to be bearish.

Must be able to read what price is doing while its on the move.

In between , learn to take out some profit and let other run

Given opportunity, you may add more position on pull back.

Control RISK and Manage the Trade like business.

P/S Don't follow blindly, unless you know what you're doing.

Jan 26 is FOMC day. If my numbers are right he will kick the can one last time to get us to 118-120
Mar 16 will be our first hike IMO.
Gambler's trade= sell now, buy 113, sell 114.25.
Confident trade = wait for 114.25 and sell. Wait for impulsive candles around 112.1 and buy up.
