I would have disagreed a couple hours ago

but there is a lot of Put volume on the SPY. Like a lot. All coming in the last hour. On the Russel too.

I know sp500 and USDJPY don’t track every move together. But it’s not a good sign regardless.

even if ten year yield shot to 2.5%, the initial jerk would probably liquidate a lot of USDJPY longs short term. I feel like stocks are gonna tank hard and fast (no doomsday stuff, just a big unwind)

EDIT: I’m not saying the puts on spy mean the ten year goes to 2.5%. Just thinking of scenarios in my noggin
Price action in UJ is kinda wonky right now considering dollar futures are up. 60% and yen futures are down .41%.

Just indiscriminate selling really.

Looks like smart money is bidding up the dollar.

What's different about today is when the markets down like it is today traders typically move into yen futures and they're not.

They're selling the yen.

Makes me kinda think they're gonna buy into the selling.

Will jump in here .. both the JPY and the USD are strong and trending together .. this is currency movement 101 .. there is no USDJPY direction trend trade when 2 currencies are behaving the same

Find something where the currencies are moving in opposite directions and that is your trade such EURJPY

Look at the chart charts carefully and you will see just follow first principles of the currency causing the pair to move .. HTH

The dollar is strong the yen is extremely weak.

This is just today.

Yens been in a free fall for a long time.

i opened long postion beacuse:
- we made 50% retracement from last move up over 115,
- 10YUSBonds are still risinng ( they are selling ) evene today had small correction,
- i think tmr WallStreet will bounce up,
- point where we are now give very good RR opportunity,

My SL is 113.89, TP open (at least 115.50)
