Federal fund rates reffering to daily notes. Like I said you need a lot of time to learn macroeconomics. So far you don't know how to apply it into trading. You just don't, and I will not explain the whole macroeconomics process as it takes time to learn and to apply it into trading. Best advice, stick to your technical analysis, you will be right 10% of the time out of 100%, because there is not a lot of volatility in trading day to day.

I have attached the VIX, from Feb to June, the volatility was very big up and down. But than from June.2020 up until now, look how low volatility is. That is why fundamentals are your best friend in trading, because you buy/sell and hold when you understand where market is going. Buy/sell and hold, that is the trading/investing business. Trader should understand Interest rates, GDP, inflation rate, employment, economic growth, and so on.

Hey buddy, ignore Suthmo like 100%. We all know he has been here over 12 years and in those 12 years, he has blown his own account many times. Scaramouche cost me 5K and 11 years to learn le marchette 10K in profit trades returned in loss trades that's not bad. In old days used to cost 50K to learn the marchette. Oh Babylon are on the scene now haha. Someone probably drunk driving. I been here 11 years put in 5k made 10000 lost 15000. My cost to learn how to kill this industry deader than a hammer. 5 k in dribs and drabs biggest deposit ever like couple hundred. It's bit of entertainment. I worked for the industry making big change for retirement funds and getting wired %age thas gud times right there. The greatest trader was Charles Gann he wiped out about 70 times before he developed one of the greatest systems of all time. His yearly record was +3000% in 300 trades made in 1 year. I did 3000% in a week with 7 trades. That's 5k in experimental research trades that paid in quantum physics. Cost 5K and 11 years chatting shit with you lot to come up with some new laws of physics and greater understanding of quantum physics. The money is bs with my research we can finally understand why ocean wave 7 is the biggest wave. You know how much sleep the planet has lost to this mystery?

Hi lad, can´t sleep again, neither can i. I see you are accepting Gann´s technique. Thats good. As far as fundamentals, if it works, can take ages holding trades, this is what i see. Its more for heavy investors, maybe i am wrong

I'll chime in here, for those that dont know or trying to follow along in this thread about fundamentals, the fund rate is an interest rate and yes the FED sets it......its the target interest rate set by the FOMC. They meet a scheduled 8 times are year to set the fund rate. Federal Fund Rate/Interest rate....same thing. Information readily available online.

Keep it simple. Are you guys trying to annoy each other or seriously going back and fourth about interest rates/funds rates and who sets them?

Per your screen shot with the blue text, it seems like you are referring to something other than the fed fund rate?

If you want to discuss different rates then be specific about what rate you want to discuss, talk about the discount rate from the FED, you also have the Prime lending rate from banks and others. Are these the other rates you are referring to? These rates are not directly controlled by the FED as they can not force the banks to use the exact rate but per my note on the image above, they do drive it.

Personally, I am only interested in the FOMC set interest rates/federal fund rates (along with other Central Banks) and I believe that is the Interest Rate Techanalyst speaks of when talking Interest Rates set by the FOMC unless I missed something.

Well, lets look at the rates, Are we going to get a raise in March?

I think you and tech are on the same page from the posts of yours and his regarding the “FED’s interest rate”. Correct me if I misunderstand.

It is becoming more and more evident that there are uneducated people here pretending to be traders who know it all because they have been here longer.

Truth is they don’t know anything about trading. Some even attempted to open their first trading account in life and failed

The main problem that humans face is replacing natural law by artificial manmade stuff. Economy cannot be controled in the end by FED or whoever. Instead of healing with natural medicine we get a lot of BS and we call it cancer for decades generically. Academics end up being trained as if they were gods. We complicate things. You have an example at FF. we all know and we know nothing.

Economy has always been and will always be controlled by people like FED. As for the natural medicine and other things you are talking about, I do support that, but this is not the thread for that topic. This here is for trading, economics, things like that. As for saying we know nothing is absolutely not the right thing to say. We do know something, a lot of us, if we have jobs, we have roof over our heads, food on the table, some people like to travel, drive nice cars and so on, that means you know enough in your own career to make money and to make that happen. Just like we have engineers that build things, we have health care, business economy and so on. So that statement is false, all of us know something, we know enough to make that money in order to survive. That is how the system is and there is no reason to stress over it. Everyday is a struggle and battle, but everyday you survive you become stronger. We will be fine.
