Don't expect a lot of movements today and tomorrow when several markets are still closed and the liquidity is very thin.
Things should be back slowly to 'normal' next week from Jan 04,2022. ... with US PMIs and then NFP on Friday Jan 07.

I see potential for move up 1.3528 or down 1.3258 next week and the coming weeks. If both PMIs and the NFP favour USD, then it is down tp 1.3258.

when are the markets gonna be ok to trade again? I placed two small trades of 0.01 lots today within 2 hours of london open and price just dilly dallied around not going anywhere. obviously i suspected this might happen (hence only using 0.01 lots) ...but i'm just wondering when volume is going to pick up again and trades will become high probability....?
do not expect 50 pips this week.

another way to look at the market this week in view of the holidays and shorter trading hours,
- is to use the Price Action Channel PAC in all timeframes
- look for H4 swing high or swing low follow with reversal setups , then trade when the H1 PA above or below the PAC high-low.
- the PAC high low is very narrow range 11 to 13 pips so do not expect too many pips
- pick on the best setups ... i.e. only the 5bars swing high/low with reversal candle setup when in such market conditions.

GBPUSD Dec 31 2021 close
Nice push up to 1.3258 and it did surprised me.
Today is we have holidays in most major markets and anything can happen.
Be prepared tomorrow Jan04 with US PMI data, then Jan05 FOMC and the notorious NFP Friday Jan07 .
On my Daily, to the left is perceived 'supply zone' which buyers will be confronted with.
Today intraday I will look at Friday Dec30 candle for potential retracement into that candle.

- if you look to the left, there were choppy days and the Weekly OHLC will be 'support and resistance'
- have to watch the price levels 156.00 and 156.50 and what the price action would be
- do not trade any TDI setups blindly to avoid being set up by the market.
