As of the vaccine, finding the running cost and toxicity for liposomes, mRNA (not MRNA) and graphene oxide and understand the reason of why using liposome as carrier would debunk a lot of misconceptions. But I think people would choose not to believe even when I say the cost per dose for liposome, the cheapest among the 3, is <$2.

Hk where I live and many Asian countries gone through SARS are the ones with highest population wearing masks or have laws for it. We are pretty low in vaccination ratio, no drug treatment disclosed, no lock down since very beginning. The reason for that are not masks, but politics. Lockdowns were never about health(nor are covid passports), but only about politics, power and teaching people obedience. Personally, I agree with you that lockdown may not be the best measure. Whatever is better I honestly have no idea.

but I think we should not neglect the death rate of COVID being ~20 times higher than swine flu and common flu. It is lower than SARS tho, so I would think a mask policy, which we implemented in 2004 would suffice. We had no lockdown nor gathering restriction of any sort back then.

Did life change in HK after China took over, btw? For non-chinese and expats. Curious if its still a place worth looking into.
