Well, you can still trade with the trend under such conditions, on the pullbacks. But you would need a wide stop loss. A 14 period ATR with a multiplier of 2.0 is good.

Right now, i choose long term position only, however, before that , i test my strategy at M1 TF (demo) , actually it can survive that many whipsaw ,so ,i am using it on long term .
Short TF is useful to test the robustness of any strategy.
Our strategy looks similar,maybe different period used only. As of you, i am still in the sell side of eur usd .

If i am right and its long there should be a pullback from around 11850 and 2nd and last target around 12250. This can change as the pattern develops. Most important is to try and get the long right. My personal mindset strategy. I may be wrong

Good day. EURUSD is looking at 1265/35, the price action is neutra-bearish this morning, resistance is at 1335/60.

I prefer selling, below 1385 this week, trying to find a good risk trade.

Yes, its been coming down. If you follow the trend thats ok. I follow trends and reversals. The first pullback to the longside reached 11234 in my opinion

Well, you could be right or wrong just like everybody else. I just wonder if you consider events in your trading decisions. I mean, it still could go up but that 2nd target about 1,000 pips is a long shot if you consider events. Are you aware on what is going on in eur specially germany? Or you are pure technical?

I just follow chart patterns. I only see numbers. I would follow a news chart if existed.

If it does not reach these targets i still aim to be profitable expecting to see other targets if developed. If the time comes where i get 10/10 i will let you know.

In 2021 there was a strong uptrend in everything (except certain FX pairs), so anyone who didn't make money in 2021 was a fool ... but if you backtest a system on 2021 results you're going to be in for a nasty surprise because very few years show such a strong continuous uptrend!
I will become much more profitable if i can detect it,however, i couldn't,so i choose to chew the drawdown because of the sideways moment . Usually it is 2-3 days a week, in a bad time ,it can last to 2 weeks,and the movement after sideways usually longer .
