No it is not condescension. It was a response to those who name-call, bully and profane. It is a statement of fact that such tactics are barbaric and simple-minded because the individual employing them is unable to defend their position.

I couldn't withstand the rigors of virology or medicine because I chose to go to nursing school not medical school or virology school. So I endured the rigors of undergraduate nursing school then went on to get a Masters degree in nursing and to become a nurse practitioner. Again you make bigoted statements such as a nurses's opinion is less valuable than that of a virologist or a doctor. As a nurse practitioner my scope of practice crosses into medicine so while I am not a doctor I am able to do many things that doctors do such as prescribing medications and doing procedures such as endotracheal intubation and central line insertions among just a few. I have no wrongs to admit but if I do please clearly point them out specifically so I can answer them. I've been a nurse practitioner for 30 years and I'm well-respected by my peers. To date I have not had a single law suit against me for injury or death (death by the way is not an injury, it is death).

Your view of my trading is irrelevant. There is nothing wrong with posting article from conservative or liberal new sites and I will continue to do so.

Bring it on.

Your intention is to discredit me and as long as you do I will be there to give you a longer shovel so you can dig in deeper and throw the dirt out.

Mate, I've already apologized for insulting the nursing profession. I have nothing against good nurses. And I've already said that my problem with you is your massive ego and your posting of biased news. Also 30+ years in nursing and you still won't admit that nurses mess up badly rather often. All of this is boiling down to you and your need to prove something.

So there. I even complimented your trading, honored you as a nurse and thanked you for your service. I EVEN CONSIDERED YOUR OPINION ON COVID, acquiescing and telling you I'm willing to read more about the issues you are presenting. You didn't think it was sincere and you still want to argue. Good on you for not killing a patient, like a lot of nurses unfortunately do. Also congratulations on your practice in medicine, though I still don't care because you aren't a specialized researcher in virology. My teammate contracting Covid has become a real eye opener for a lot of us. We all took Pfizer and she had just received the booster when she fell ill. I will not be taking the booster unless I get mandated to do so, and the management team is on the same page now that we have seen it with our own eyes. You get don't MMR after getting that shot, so why are people still getting sick with Covid? I can't help but feel we have been bamboozled, and this has to be laid at the feet of the CDC. We have information gaps, and this is based on empirical evidence. Feel free to share this post with your loved ones. I think we as RN's should really begin to lobby for more information. People are getting killed, and we do not really know why.

I just read this more closely as I am home now and not at the office. And we can talk shop.
1. I have never taken the flu shot for the reason you stated above, it just cover the dominant variant, and if you get true Influenza and not a very bad cold, there is not much to be done either except keep you hydrated and hope you pull through.
2. When I took the second shot, I had a "robust" response. I was told I may have already had Covid very early, when I thought it was bronchitis. I went to my NP and told her I needed a Z-pack, which knocked it right out. I usually get over bronchitis, but this time I was not getting better and I waited until I was starting to work for air before I went in. But as one of those emotional nurses, I acted as soon as I needed to pull for air and instead of getting truly short of breath.
3. I have still not been able to get papers from the NCBI about alternative therapies with double blind clinical studies. Obviously this is because it might a little early for that. Any help would be appreciated.

Moon, I am a nurse as well, and while you are right about your assertion, you pull it out of context. Mistakes get made because bad information gets through the system and errors occur. If I get told you have IBS instead of malaria, my nursing interventions may be inaccurate, and you die. GIGO works in medicine too. Did you know that in the USA, most medical doctor practices are run by registered nurses? There is a reason for that. In full disclosure, Winston and I agree about nothing in how our federation should be run, but you backhandedly attacked an entire profession in this last post by suggesting that patient deaths can be traced to bad nurses. A good nurse with bad information will not monitor you in the correct way. This is not the nurses fault.

I will admit my wrong here. I apologize and did not mean to attack the nursing profession. Please understand that I'm only responding to the perceived condescending, ego-filled tone that Winston Reed employs when talking about his higher education. He dedicated an entire post to his education and how sarcasm is his "intellectual" response to my criticism towards his bullshit news sites. I've never rolled my eyes so hard

In my personal experience, I have had amazing nurses watching over me. But I also had incredibly callous ones who treated me like shit when I needed care, or informed them about a new sensation or pain I was feeling. Nurses, and I've met a lot of them, tend to be like the mean girls from my high school. Anecdotal, I know, and nowhere near the severity of loss of life. But ya know, its still an example that nurses have serious attitude problems.

If he's incensed about my comment about nursing, then he can stop replying. This is my second sorry now, even though I had absolutely no need to apologize to a stubborn man with mental insecurities. Not going to entertain his sensitivities anymore.
