5 scalping the day new highs and new lows, you need to know a few things.

> look at the Previous Day Open, High, Low and Close

> the Daily price action if it is above or below its 5EMA Typical Price, Shift+2

> if the Daily is making higher high, higher low, + higher Close

> if the Daily is in CONSOLIDATION for example if the previous Day is and Inside Bar candle

Hey Guys trying to learn more about this particular system, I use tradingview with forex.com as my broker, since I prefer their charts, can someone share with me the settings for the TDI for this strategy? The ones on tradingview seem to use different default values. Thanks!

Go to this website and use the RSI setting for the TDI

Replicating each TDI for mobile and charts without the TDI installed


Standard TDI (2005)

 

  1. Apply an RSI indicator to your mobile chart with the color set to your background's color (or "invisible" or "none") if you have that option.
    Set the period to "13", Apply it to "Close".
  2. Insert a Moving Average into the RSI's indicator window and set that period to "2", "Simple", apply it to "Previous Indicator's Data" and make that line Green.
  3. Insert another Moving Average indicator into the RSI's indicator window and set that period to "7", "Simple", apply it to "Previous Indicator's Data" and make that line Red.
  4. Insert the Bollinger Bands indicator into the RSI's indicator window and set that to "34" with a deviation of "1.618", apply it to "First Indicator's Data" and set that line to Blue.
  5. Inset one more Moving Average again into the RSI's indicator window and set it to "34", "Simple", apply it to "First Indicator's Data" and set that line to Yellow.

Thank you very much for your help on this! I look forward to testing the system and sharing some results soon. Super psyched to test this one out as I have always been a fan of HA candles, seemed right up my alley, trying to keep things somewhat familiar moving from equities to forex.

The bottom line there is special software and data feeds and a few other ways to to determine this before entering a trade.They can break the eur/usd down into each individual part and measure its exact momentium of each part and watch all this in 10tic, 1 min, 5 min, 1 hour, 4 hour or any timeframe that you want to trade in and see when to enter and exit trades at the correct moment that will work every time, day in and out without trying to come up with the magical settings and timeframes to use with lagging indicators that at the best follow the last price bar timeframe.

Post #25 TDI do all of that all by himself day in day out:
follow the last price bar timeframe.
- Update on new bar and chart refresh

enter and exit trades at the correct moment

Entries and exits...
We Enter a trade when green crosses red on the TDI at the beginning of that candle...
If it's candle 3 or more don't enter... find another trade set up.
The only exception is if green bounces off red and continues... it's ok to re-enter on the bounce...
Exit your trade when the green TDI line goes flat, starts to hook over or makes a check mark reversal.

Try it if you want, try it on for size, ask questions, tweek it to fit your personality and trading style.
