Roadmap - A Way To Read Markets

This is a really cool thread. I'll be sure to post some charts and ask any questions as I try the method. Thank you LauraT and everyone else who is contributing!

I think from a market structure point of view, the downtrend was no longer so convincing. Although when you entered it was a pullback after a lower low, it had previously made a higher low and 3 higher highs, suggesting that buying pressure was increasing. I can't see from your charts also maybe there was unbroken support further back in time?

Very keen to hear as always what Laura may wish to comment or other views.

I agree with your approach, I decided to enter because even though it made a new high, there was also a solid support, and the price broke it, so I tried to take advantage of that break but it really did not work, once it happened I analyze it and perhaps the strength of the trend was not optimal. Thank you for your comment

Just bear in mind -5 faces in - that if you get a swing high ( loser or NO trade) and likewise for a swing low ( loser or no trade) so you have maybe two consecutive losers- one long and one short, then draw in high/low lines and wait.

Dow UK afternoon -one minute chart. Ignore the Pink horizontal zones.Good Dow day compared to some previously "choppy" days where you had to snatch what you can -often in single figures.

Well aknowledged Turnip! That is what i love about this method! I have been away and off the trading for 2 weeks! But when you get back to the charts, you know exactly where and when to pull the trigger again!! Thanks to Laura!!

Did a quick analysis on BTCUSD 1H chart, looks super bearish today.
- Prices below SMA 200 (white line)
- Broke Daily Opening Low level
- Failed attempt to escape SMA 200 yesterday

Your chart isn't "Roadmap" approach. Perhaps you could start your own thread. Good luck

Thank you for your reply. Could you please elaborate on my key missing points?

I'm here to learn. My initial thought was that Roadmap's a trend reading framework that centered around SMA 200. Couldn't I be flexible on the other indicator choices that show minor trends?

My current Free plan on TradingView doesn't allow me to add more than 3 indicators so I've got to be selective.
