No trade shown there, Hasib. There are a bunch of pretty lines and colors, but no indication of WHEN a trade was opened, other than possibly at ANY time on that chart that price was very close to that green Hline. Without that, just pretty lines.

D1 is not a very good determiner of "long-term" compared to MN1. But continue as you do ...

I trade short term
If that's the case, then you need to examine some smaller TFs to see that there are TRENDS in your intended trade direction.

Honestly on the 5 method you don't really need any indicators because the simple entry rules are so basic and clear cut. If I were to pick two it would be the tdi & stochs.

I almost always have the tdi & stoch on all my charts regardless of the method being used.

However, it's not necessary on the 5 method for me. It gives people more confidence when they have it on their charts it seems.... and it's a good confirmation to the current PA and possible trade.

You can trade the 5 method without the TDI if it's a problem...

PA is HA Candles, PA crosses the yellow line and closes... enter on the next candle if it's the same color. When candles flatten out... exit. Stay in the trade as long as it doesn't cross back over the yellow line and close.

The TDI just gives me a lot more information for making my entries & exits decisions.

2scoops asked me a long time ago what would be the most beneficial to learning this method for higher success... The answer was simple... study old charts for set ups... now strip down everything on that chart at that point... trends, angles, S/R levels, News times, Stoch angle within the 20-80 lines..etc. Burn it into your memory... I spent 2 years doing that.... so what does that mean?

It takes me 15 seconds to strip a chart down to nothing including the TDI & Stoch's. Taking clean trades is a breeze for me... why?

I can take you to water but I can't make you drink... follow the simple entry & exit rules. Forget other indicators. I went down those roads so you wouldn't have too...

GER30 Sep23 M5 trade

- first trade was late, could have taken 2 bars earlier with small 'yao ming'.

I can't filter out the noise, I would have to ignore them both for that, then I wouldn't get the laughs, and I can't go through a bunch of crap to try to find a few good posts.

Yes, that was exactly the point!! BigE made it clear later that HE can trade the 5-method without the TDI, but that he PREFERRED to have it on his charts because it gives a lot more information. So for those with any kind of reasoning abilities, it is clear that he used INDICATORS as an AID to smoothing out PRICE ACTION information. A big example is his PREFERRED usage of Heiken-Ashi bars to conventional Japanese candlesticks. You can rest assured that he did not NEED the HA bars, but they gave him a smoother view to consider.

Do you understand what is called closed price, what is the advantage of trading candle close, Your just complicating your trading with various Mambo Jambo.
Stop all those IMT crap, Focus on 3 to 4 TF and trade without Indicator, Clean chart.

NO Crap trading tools. Follow good MM. You will make nice profit end of the month.

BTW if you want to use Market profile or Volume profile you can do so.
